Joe Rogan is STILL talking about Pete Buttigieg’s paternity leave. “Do men take paternity leave?” Rogan asked frequent ‪@joerogan‬ guest Bridget Phetasy. “Isn’t that supposed to be for the person who gave birth?” If anyone runs into Joe, please let him know that paternity leave, which refers to the leave that is exclusively granted to the fathers, is taken by men.

Matt Lech: I just can't get over listening to the Charlie Kirk ‪@BenBurgisGTAA‬ debate um how often ‪@RealCharlieKirk‬ says actually what i'm really um uh for is strong families.
Sam Seder: The right is constantly talking about this right they constantly talking about all of these people it's always it's about the families it's about the families it's about the families except get to work until it's not about the families. here's uh Joe Rogan talking about now now if you remember the last call the call that we just had part of what he said was beneficial about paid parental in his instance paternity leave was that he could support his um the mother of his child not just because she was recovering from childbirth although that was part of it but also in terms of like it's hard to be the primary caregiver of a tiny baby it's hard i don't know if you know this but they can't be left alone they can't be left alone they don't really help themselves if you are in a rarefied group of people your child sleeps through the night but for most people your child does not and there is no greater sort of like torture then going through prolonged periods of time without being able to sleep and but it also has to do with developing a relationship with the child not everybody can afford a night nurse to make sure that you get sleep not everybody can afford to just sort of like i'm only gonna work two hours today and go home and spend like the day with with my kid and it's also not like you know when your kid starts to be like six or seven and you come home you're like what was your day like today and they can actually tell you but prior to that you need to experience you need to have experience with the child otherwise you just show up and all of a sudden like you know the child goes to sleep at seven o'clock he's like i'm home from work the kid's asleep and that's it i had 20 minutes with my baby today you value that what i mean you know a soy boy you are well i'm not saying this is me and for me i was you know if they're asleep i'm gonna come home that's great awesome but no bonding time for me i say all that because on the right in the right podcast sphere to get the clicks you've got to apparently say that fathers don't need time with their children to take time for paternity leave here is Joe Rogan and Bridget ‪@phetasy‬. Um i don't know where she is i'm sure she pronounces it just like that i'm sure it's effective.

If all Rogan does is talk to microphone how is he different fro what Seder does? Except Rogan is a real comedian unlike Seder who is a failed comedian. Rogan talks the smartest people in the world and all Seder’s hosts are dull and dim. From time to time Rogan is talking about the CIA programs like MKUltra and about the US dirty wars which Seder wouldn’t want to touch with 10 foot pole.

Paternity leave is awesome; I wish my dad and other dads would’ve been afforded that opportunity. As for myself, I was born in 1978, and my dad was one of those “lifers” in the United States Navy (27 years); however, at that time, there was nothing on the table for paternity leave for fathers. @@jruizsr let me explain why the "why does he get 12 weeks when I only get 2 weeks" is backwards. All federal employees are entitled to 12 weeks paternity leave, which is pretty standard for first-world, developed countries. America, as the richest and greatest nation in the world, should have no problems figuring out something that the rest of the developed world has already figured out. The problem is not that the federal government gives 12 weeks of paternity leave, the problem is that you get less. There is no reason why most countries as rich as America guarantee all parents 12 weeks paid parental leave, but America just can't figure it out or "can't afford it" to quote the news. Really the only reason is that the elite want to keep the working class down. They can afford to take as long of a leave as they want, while they make you and me work out fingers to the bone, break our backs, and keep us away from our kids during the most important time for us to be there. 12 weeks paid parental leave makes economic sense, as the majority of developed countries have already figured out, because it is scientifically tied to better outcomes later for the kids. More education and higher paying jobs as adults = more people paying taxes, less people in jail, etc. 12 weeks of paid parental leave also hugely boosts worker morale and worker loyalty, and really isn't that much paid leave considering it happens 2 times or less in your entire life for the vast majority of Americans. I hope this reasoning inspires you to fight for what you deserve, and for what the greatest country in the world should be able to give it's citizens.

@@jruizsr I assume things aren't as hyperbolic as is being portrayed. I'm the last person to defend management, but it's possible that he's staying informed and communicating remotely, and that he's able to delegate authority to others in that office. I'm trying to think of another analogous situation in history, where a secretary of transportation might have intervened. I can't think of one, and I'm wondering what you or any other critics would suggest be done in this situation. Do you want direct federal intervention? I'm not opposed to it, but I also don't know what could be done, and I'm not aware that something could be done that isn't already being done within the authority of the DOT.

I firmly believe that we need to implement a sick leave as well as maternity and paternity leave programs for all workers in this country. I personally feel that every time worker in this country regardless of their job should be guaranteed at least 2 weeks of sick leave and 2 weeks vacation per year. In addition to guaranteed sick leave, we also need to allow both mothers and fathers who just had a baby to be guaranteed time off with pay as well, so that way businesses can ensure that their employees at all levels can come into work feeling their best and contributing their best physically and mentally everyday. Finally, I firmly believe that "Working Poor" should not be a thing! If you work full time every week of the year, you shouldn't be living at or below the poverty line in this country! Hence why I feel there should be a Universal basic Income for every American citizen above the age of 16 based on what the poverty level is so that way no one who works full time should have to financially struggle to get by.

Rogan ten years ago seemed genuinely more what he claims to be - he had TYT and other progressive folks on, he was happy to talk openly about any political position as a naive observer. When Trump got in he was doing his show with Burr and Stanhope and while they seemed to see the horrific comedy potential of Trump Winning and made bleak jokes, Rogan just seemed numb and you could see the gears whizzing behind Joe's eyes "I have misjudged the market, I need to consolidate". After that the downside started and he and his crew started to turn on anyone who had strong feelings about Trump, and later the unscientific approach to Covid as if they were just taking an opinion too seriously, not considering that for many people Trump and antivaxxers actions have very real world consequences. Since moving to Texas to escape opinions that differ from his own, Rogan has increasingly wallowed in confirmation bias and while he still occasionally pays lip service to people with mainstream views he seems to go out of his way just to support anything anti-establishment, no matter how contradictory, as long as his personal establishment remains unaffected.

Yeah the man that had Stefan Molyneux on three times was balanced. The man who saw a video of a college professor refusing to use students pronouns and had to have him on his podcast as soon as possible and then kept having him back every two months thus giving the world Jordan Peterson was quite balanced. He was very balanced while having Ben Shapiro on more than 15 times. Heavy Balance when he gave Milo Yiannopoulos his first mainstream American exposure. Having Bernie Sanders on once or David Pakman on once every 18 months does not make for balance. Look down his list of guests and see how many conservative and far right figures are there and than compare that to Liberals and leftists. It's always been this way and every view he expresses now were views I saw him express back when I watched him in 2015.

She said truckers have “abandoned” California?????? I work in trucking logistics, believe me, truckers have NOT abandoned CA. It’s undeniably one of the most attractive destinations for truckers. The reason there’s a backlog in LA ports isn’t because truckers don’t wanna go there, it’s because when the pandemic hit global trade especially from China shut down and now there’s a backlog that we are desperately trying to catch up with. That and the fact that ports in CA are refusing to raise wages for dock workers so there’s a “labor shortage” out there.
