Travis Clower true but honestly Roseanne is not stupid. She knew what the climate was and she knows what racism is. Joe Biden makes a racist remark just about every time he opens his mouth. But not only do Democrats NOT fire HIM, they make him their CHOICE Democrat party candidate for POTUS*....LIBERALS got all up in arms over ROSEANNE, but she's ONLY a celebrity. All they had to do was change the channel. There's LOTS of shows I can't STAND, like Jimmy Kimmel, Samantha Bee, or the View, but I don't get hysterical about them, I just DON'T watch them. THOSE programs make offensive comments ALL the time, I know because I've seen clips, but I wouldn't waste my time watching an entire episode...LIBERALS, just change the channel if you don't like something. You feel threatened by a tweet, but not by the possibility (at least in your imagination, since JOE won't win) of JOE BIDEN, the sleepy, creepy, racist, hair-sniffing rapists candidate for POTUS, who would have the power to make changes that could negatively impact even YOUR, AND your children's, lives!

There is not a single scenario that I can conceive of in which The Conners can succeed. Roseanne *is* that show. She’s the sarcastic, shrill, no bullshit Sun around which this entire show revolves. This isn’t like replacing Diane with Rebecca on Cheers. Removing her is like removing Al Bundy from Married with Children or Archie Bunker from All in the Family. She’s that level of importance to this show. And don’t get me wrong, Laurie Metcalf is, and has always been hilarious as Jackie. And John Goodman’s birthday should be a national holiday, as far as I’m concerned. But there’s a reason that the show was called “Roseanne” and not “Dan and Jackie”.

Very well said you guys. They even pulled the reruns of classic "Roseanne" on TVLand when the media freaked out over her tweet, which I hated because "Roseanne" is probably my favorite sitcom ever, right up there with "I Love Lucy" and "The Golden Girls". I can rewatch all of those shows over and over again endlessly. But the whole reason "Roseanne" even exists at all is because of ROSEANNE!!! She was the brains behind the show, which made it such an enormous success. Like she said, it's so sad for them to throw her away and just take what she worked so hard to accomplish. They can try to copy her style, but it will never be the same without Roseanne. I am very interested in those characters and super curious how they would handle the situation of losing Roseanne, but I absolutely won't be watching on principle. I can't. I can't pretend that what they did to this woman is ok. I feel so bad for her, the only reason they crucified her, say over Joy Behar or that mean bitch Samantha Bee, is because she supports Trump. They've been looking for a way to attack her since that show came back. The proof is how the show was received before when she was so very much more liberal and left-leaning, the network and the media praised and lauded the show. I did too, even though I'm very much not left-leaning, but I'm an intelligent human being who can separate my own feelings or political beliefs and appreciate something for what it is- which in this case was just plain hilarious. Now, how come liberals can't do the same? The entire rest of the show is liberal, why can't they just let the woman be conservative and leave her be?

As a kid who’s parents gave up on him and his kid brother at the age of two , I feel that I searched for “mother and father” figures in the media I used to pass the time .. books , records , films and of course the TV.. I was born in 1984 , and remember fondly watching Rosanne .. seeing her struggles and the way she handled things in this fictional world , made me feel at peace in my own childhood struggles .. made me feel normal I guess. And in 2003 as a young dad at the age of 19 , I rewatched all the episodes again on Nick-at-Night .. now with a different lens as a struggling parent .. it just helped out at so many different stages of my life .. I’ll always love Rosanne and John , they guided me when I had no one to turn to. I wonder if they really know how much they mean to me and so many other people ..

Love your comment, man. The power of art to get us through. Her show was the only thing on TV remotely like my family. Heartbreaking ending to the show. I don't like her politics these days, but she didn't deserve any of that.

@A person what rock have you been living under? I don't believe for one millisecond that you are that clueless. Based on the hundreds of posts on this video alone it's clear you live on the internet. Nice try. Cheers

I saw the Conners first episode just to say I saw it... It's terrible. It's missing the main ingredient. Roseanne. The show is going down like the Hindenburg.

we watched also, and actually preferred it to the old one!! I do hope it lasts a little bit, roseanne was just one character, the others have their story too and it is not bad.

Roseanne deserves a new show, new cast. Use her same family members, but new cast members.

The fact that she did this so that all the others on that show can work even though none of them stood up for her is a testament to her quality of character and it makes me even angrier about it all.

I don't think everyone on that cast felt the same about what roseanne said, but they wanted to keep their jobs and everyone working.

I still think it's crazy how many people don't know her whole story. She has been through a lot. Physically and mentally. The whole getting hit by a car and having brain damage to what other people did to her. I grew up watching her and she is definitely a mom figure you could look at and relate to.
