I will agree that it is better to have children when you’re older(well idk his exact age, I just mean not in your teens and maybe not even 20s), only because we don’t really understand anything about life in our 20s, much less anything about being a parent. As I’ve aged I’ve gotten more patient, and I’ve learned SO much about life & parenting, & that only comes from life experiences. Sure, we can do it, I did it(alone) and I have successful, responsible children, who are contributing members of society. I had mine in my mid 20s, But there was so much that I just didn’t know, and even reading parenting books etc just wasn’t the same as real life knowledge. Also, as we age, most of us realize the value of life and that time is so precious.

He’s right about appreciating your kids more when you’re older. I had one young and then two when I was older. I look back and I was definitely a better mom when I was an older mom. I have such a greater appreciation of the time I spend with my grandkids vs how I viewed the time I spent raising my two daughters. I had one at 27 yrs old and the next at 38 yrs old. Both were great experiences but a good amount of the time it felt like I was always trying just to get through the day and then to the next and chasing life. I currently, and have for the past 4 yrs, lived in the same household as my grandkids along with my husband. We both realize the preciousness of time much more than as young parents.
