In 1959 my dad flew to Cuba with the Hawthorn NJ Cabilaros at the time they were the drum and bugle grand champs They were invited there by the business men of Cuba at the time and marched and played in a parade celebrating Castros victory My dad told me how on the way there when flying through the Bermuda Triangle their airplane hit air turbulence and dropped a couple thousand feet instantly and people and drum corps equipment being stuck on the ceiling of the plane.
