I trained in Tae Kwon Do for more than twice the amount of time that Joe did and barely got to my brown belt. Joe’s technique, quickness and timing is phenomenal. Especially his counter back kick (the kick that knocked his opponent out in tournament). I’ve seen him fold heavy bags with it. So yes, Joe is extremely well versed and experienced in martial arts. Much respect to his humility around it.
@grismor188411 ай бұрын
You sure you were training tarkwondo? Because there is no brown belt in taekwondo thats probably karate
@brianshickey11 ай бұрын
@@grismor1884 Yes, I am absolutely positive I trained in Tae Kwon Do (for more than 6 years). I think you’re confusing the different Tae Kwon Do federations. In WTF (World Tae Kwon Do Federation) the brown belt comes prior to receiving your black belt. In ITF (International Tae Kwon Do Federation) they use a red belt instead of a brown belt. I obviously trained in WTF. Just Google it. You should be sure of your information prior to challenging my truthfulness. Have a great weekend.

@@brianshickey I practiced TKD under WTF for 8 years (almost 30 yeas ago) and I am 100% sure belts order went: white, yellow, green, blue, brown, red, black.
@brianshickey7 ай бұрын
I believe you and will agree with the comment before yours. In the Montreal area, almost all WTF schools used the white, yellow, green, blue, brown, black belt colouring system. Brown belts tended to train for a very long time before being tested for their black belts. I know that some US schools used the red belt prior to black but in the WTF system that I trained under, red didn’t exist.
