This is probably my favourite Satch song.....alongside " The Bells of Lall".....have you ever reacted to Bill Nelson,....particularly when he was in Be Bop Deluxe? Probably the most criminaly underrated guitarist ever!!! "Crying to the sky" by Be Bop Deluxe is a classic worth checking out.

Satriani was a breath of fresh air for me when he debuted in the mid-80s. Just a terrific sound, great playing, and a variety of musical style. I enjoyed your reaction.

This is the song that turned me on to Joe in the late 80s. I’d highly recommend Echo from the Time Machine live album.

Satriani along with his former student Steve Vai are virtuosos that made instrumental guitar songs a thing in the 80's. I never get tired of either of them.

Hi Jone, long time no speak ✌ Yes Joe is phenomenal. His melodies and tones are so pleasing to the ear. I must bring your attention to the most talented guitarist in the Universe as many who actually play guitar will agree. I have known about him for many many years and now Joe Satriani has discovered him and also admires his virtuoso playing. I know there are many exceptional guitar players around these days but this guy is unbelievably talented. Yes he has many tricks and can shred better than most but it is his in-depth knowledge of all genres and styles that sets him apart from the crowd. I selected this video as most of the clips are improvised and it gives a good selection of his skills but please feel free to search him and pick one for yourself to react. He never ceases to amaze me with his talent. His name is Guthrie Govan and he has played with many bands. He has also toured with the Hans Zimmer Orchestra. His present band is the Aristocrats who are well worth checking out as well. Here's the link to check him out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXTJd6abhNybmas

Joe has THE coolest album/cd covers, surrounds himself with great musicians and by all accounts is about the nicest guy around. If you dig this song, check out any live version of "Rubina", named after his wife, much like "Lenny" was SRV's tribute to his wife.

Some absolutely gorgeous passages in this one, hit you right in the tear ducts and spine. You'd be surprised what you can do with distortion - if it's slightly tamed by a phaser or something it can come across as warm and soft. That and there are 7 or 8 core types of distortion (incl overdrive and fuzz too) which all sound a bit different. I bet Testament is awesome live

Fantastic stuff. Love your reactions and channel. I recommend Private Investigations from DIRE STRAITS Live " On The Night " 1992. Mark plays Spanish style on the acoustic and it's a really haunting song. Mark doesn't sing he narrates which makes it even more haunting. It's something a little bit different from Dire Straits. Cheers all the best from Australia 👍🎸🎸🎸

Oh, I meant to say. I often am unable to hear what you are saying while the music is playing. Quiza you would be able to raise your volume a tad?
