To all the youngsters in the comments section. Here's some good advice. Never start a fight with someone who's intoxicated at a bar, club, or anywhere in general, it's not worth it. It's very unpredictable and someone could get seriously hurt and it can lead to legal trouble. Best thing to do is be polite, apologize, and compromise your way out. Be the better person and just walk away.

Who started the fight? Nobody, it was Just a poor drunk guy, you must be a piece of shit with no honor to do this Kind of shit
@gabrielgarcia-fraire95042 жыл бұрын
I can agree. Being drunk myself I got into shit with a guy, didn’t let it go and instead of going back to trying to get laid, instead I elevated the shit and didn’t realize his buddies were behind me, that did not go well for me. All of us got kicked out and nobody got laid, plus my buddies were pissed and didn’t want to leave. So that was a shitty transit ride back to my apt. On the other side, I know of a guy that actually bought a pint for the other guy(who was drinking cans) just to calm things down. Asshole thought that was a sign of submission to him, continued to be an asshole. The person that tried, was at one of his regular bars with a small group of friends. However they weren’t really the fighting type, maybe one girl was but she was pretty petite. Long story short after finishing his own pint, the person went to the bar with his empty pint glass(which typically you don’t do) ordered another. Before asshole could finishwhatever he was going to say, asshole got hit in the jaw with the bottom of the pint glass, then beat in that general location with some follow up pint glass strikes. Bloooooood. Again nobody got laid, pint glass guy could have if he just didn’t beat another guy like a drunken psycho. Moral: don’t go out to fight, go out to get laid. Safe, consensual, honest sex is always a win win. Street/club/bar fighting is always a lose lose, even if you win the fight, you still lose.

You "safety blanket" people are insufferable.. He KO'd a guy that needed to be KO'd. That douchebag assaulted an ex, and constantly gets hammered and just grabs women, yells racist shit at people, etc... He's always got away with it because people like you are always defending them. If you didn't realize that he was "one of those guys", then you must be one as well. Yeah Joe recognized the situation and did what needed to be done. Another shit stain finally got his. Don't get any tears get in that warm cup of soy milk you got there.

He clearly acted in self defense. The strong exhales as the office worker was rapping could have hit Joe’s glass chin and knocked him out cold. What was he supposed to do in this situation?
@twodogs38683 жыл бұрын
@@dcm6896 I guarantee this won't help the situation with the drunk. He'll still drink obnoxiously, only worse now due to his depression. Joe can gloss over the severity of the situation by stating no charges have been filed, but that's ONLY because the plaintiff's lawyers have contacted Joe's. That's how it works. And don't think this won't affect his chances of fighting professionally. Schilling's an idiot who doesn't realize his emotions will cost him professionally. Personally, he seems like a narcissist so there's probably no hope for him either.
@dcm68963 жыл бұрын
@@twodogs3868 I appreciate your logical, statute based response. I still think adults that STILL act like "the victim" need to be checked every now and then. What if he didn't get KO'd, and instead got in his car hammered and got in a wreck and killed some family. He would be fined with a short jail time(cause alcoholism is a disease right?) and told he cant drive. I know you know people who don't really listen to what the law says. So how is just letting this guy go his whole life acting like this with people protecting him a good thing? Agreed, Joe probably should have just scared the hell out of him instead of risking the guy dying from smacking his head on the ground. My subjective opinion still stands in favor of Joe. Even if you just hate fighters or got beat up before so you hate dudes that can fight(not you just the armchair fight analysts in the comments hating just to hate), I promise you Joe is a better person and done more to help people in his life than the drunk bar troll. Just cancel him cause he punched a tool, SURE, seems like the best response from a bunch of people claiming that Joe went too far. Schilling's commentary on other fights and MMA matters in this interview is cogent, reasonable and accurate. It reveals an intelligent, articulate man. This makes it all the more difficult to believe his comments about the "bar incident" (here and elsewhere). In no way does he truly believe his actions were justified and in "self defense". He was wrong and he knows he was wrong but he won't admit yet. I say "yet" because the man he viciously attacked has filed criminal charges (waiting on district attorney to proceed) and has filed a six-figure lawsuit against Joe Schilling and the bar/restaurant where the (pre-planned, setup) attack took place. Joe's fucked. IMO he will lose both the criminal and civil cases. Some time down the road he will admit he was wrong when faced with the penalties in both court cases, although he will still pay a hefty price.

No, we know what Joe was thinking because he told us. He was afraid for his life by a small drunk man who he had just rudely pushed aside. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Joe wasn’t afraid for his life and he could have handled it without knocking the guy out. For instance, after pushing the guy aside and the guy says something, why not just walk off? It’s clear that he did not have to beat the much smaller guy up without warning.

He assaulted a much smaller weaker untrained amateur that was clearly no challenge to him… But he did nothing 😑 wrong. I could understand he may of thought the guy was a jerk, maybe a drunk jerk… But video shows he purposely bumped or pushed the guy from Behind, perhaps to get a response verbally to escalate the situation, If as he said the guy had been talking about him earlier.. But once he gets the reaction- Then he clocks the dude a few times and knocks him the heck out, Trying to act like it was some sort of self defense. I’m not a fan of the overuse of bully terminology… but it definitely applies here in my opinion. Even if the victim is a piece of trash… which I don’t know if he is or isn’t. Bottomline- he will Pay 💰 financially- even if no charges are filed
