Its a very good engine. We sold the plane a few weeks ago. But it was still running really good.

Like night and Day. Runs very well right out of the box. We spend days tweaking the DLE and never really did trust it in a hover. Joe was Hovering it right away with the OS.

@seanmanok Its a really fast rolling harrier. Full aileron, then much smaller amounts of rudder and elevator.

Awesome as usual. Would you please have someone video your fingers as you fly. We want to see your stick technique. Please ! : )
@AltitudeAerials13 жыл бұрын
same here. heck you can really fly joe. mad skills there. i'm curious if you could put up a video of your thumbs doing the fast rollers at 4:05...is it just the aileron stick all the way to the right/left or is it like a really fast rolling harrier. would love to see a video of your thumb action like bonedoc's..cheers and awesome flying bro

Then at 1/2 throttle listen to see if it holds a really steady rpm. If it doesn't go back to my previous post and reset your high end rpm setting. Now some peoples half throttle is almost at max rpm so listen to see what the engine does as you advance the throttle and choose the half throttle by ear and not by stick position on your transmitter. The high speed needle doesn't effect tune until you get near or past 1/2 throttle on the engine (not transmitter).

Nice. That takes a lot of skill in which I have none...

Sweet! Nice flying! Whats your setup? I am stuck between this plane and the 74" edge? That OS looks like a winner!

Each motor is a bit different. Put throttle at a low idle. Leave it there, and listen. If it starts to load up (runs ruff), then its too rich. Lean it some. It it just dies, its to lean. Richen it. When you get a good idle. Increase the throttle like you would to pull out of a hover. If it hesitates then you have it too lean. Richen it up a bit to get a good throttle response, but not a lot of loading up at idle.

Hi Joe, another great flying video. I have a question I am looking to buy the HobbyKing Slick 540, it's a 76inch wing span and they say the total weight of the plane is about 5.5kg, I am seriously thinking about the OS33GT and was wanting to know if this engine will have enough power for the size and weight of the plane to have good vertical performance. The AJ Slick is this video seems to have more than enough power but its a slightly smaller plane? would love your advice.Thanks

Brushless is so much practical and there is tons of power to weight, but it just sounds so amazing! Most of your electric plane flights have music, and I was pls dont put music on this one, and the editor did the right thing, let the O.S. engine be the music. Excellent, you are a master pilot!

Hi Joe just a quick question here. I'm a little bit having hard time to prime thus engine by hand. Is my idle too reach. But it can stay on idle forever with a good transition. Is this normal for this engine being hard to prime?

Perfect defeat to dle/dla engines... I just ordered gt33 swapping with dla32 for my lovely aw edge 540.. Hopefully no more needle tweaks out of the box...

this video is all i need to chuck my DLE as far as i can throw it... Its no fun if you cant trust your engine. My slick deserves an OS engine and so do i!

Hi, my name is Thiago and I'm from Brazil, bought a GT33CC OS engine and I'm not getting regular. I could state something to be done to position the needles, etc ... I look back, grateful!
