Saw Joe Walsh and Foreigner in Tulsa, OK in 87...... It was awesome and I REALLY wish kids today could experience the greatness that is this kind of music in a live setting. It’s timeless and I consider myself very lucky.

Saw Joe with the Eagles last week. Expected a good show from some aging rockers. They fucking killed it. Never saw them in their prime but damn….it was a fantastic show. Vince Gill was a good fit (though would have preferred Glen Frey who could not be there for obvious reasons) Deacon Frey, Glen’s son jumped in for a handful of songs.

Joe Walsh lived two doors down from me on the 4th floor of McDowell Hall at Kent State University in 1966-67. He was also in the university marching band! Betcha didn’t know that 🎉

Growing up in the 70s and hanging out at Tape Town Audio, our city’s first record store was a wonderful experience. Watched the Gong Show and walked around listening and looking at the albums and promo stuff every day after school. It was a great time. Thanks Dad.

Yes, Joe is THE classic rock star with an overload of real talent AND charm This is at the top of my list for my funeral I love Joe's obvious love for youngsters like his godson (Roy Orbison 3) and the look on his face at the Marae in Hastings NZ when the ukettes finish playing Hotel California - just a shame those NZ gangs are so hypocritical but great the Joe has put drugs well in his past !

Yes, the next line in the song is "I've never been there they tell me it's nice" cause he was touring so much....during that time, my dad had two buddies who were brothers that lived a few miles down the road from the mansion and they went there one summer and trespassed just to basically be kids and get into mischief....guess Joe's security didn't take it too fondly lo

They let me off that count so I was only 'Hit' with 34 ! I then went to my car {parked in the Police Station} and drove to the Pub and home. LOL Drug's, Booze & Rock n Roll. In real life I compare myself to Joe's song in that I've been lucky all my life...so far. I'm 72 now but I survived 3 tours in Vietnam & nearly 5 years smuggling contraband into Mexico. Not drugs, that went north but not by me. Electronics. Got shot up bad several times. Used to listen to Joe's song on the way home with a Sony Walkman cassette player...empty & lucky! Very Lucky! The best string bender ever (yeah I know Eddie VH and Steve Vai and Billy Gibbons could bend strings too [and the two Jimmys weren't so much about that] and all the other great guitar masters). But I consider him the best string bender ever. Not that there aren't many great famous string benders. You can find videos of him explaining intonation with great passion. He's brilliant.
