Joe Wright for some reason never showed up in my u-tube searches for psg stuff after I bought my U12 Carter. I struggled for years, only started to get some good progress after watching his "2006 at Scotty's" seminar video, WOW that put everything into perspective! Fabulous, down to earth guy with lot's of energy, I'm a fan!

Great steel picking; Joe has a great sense of musicality and he keeps the band on track in this.

To those deriding this performance, may I just say this: ITS A SHOW PEOPLE! Both of these performers could 'do better' but its entertainment - not intended to be 100% 'tight-assed' serious! Sheesh!...

@@tvbobbyd I'm with you brother, I was a bit taken aback at the first video's I saw of him, but became a Huge fan after seeing his absolutely excellent and down to earth teaching video's. Great player with a ton of personality, what's not to like?! This video was so obviously just a comedy act, totally fun and Jerry Lewis could"nt have done it better! Come on guys, we gotta "lighten up" once in a while...

From some of the negative comments, he ain't that good. I can only dream of having that talent, straight or comedy.
@tomford13763 жыл бұрын
what an awkward vibe. he's an incredible player, but this energy is really stressful now. I'm worried that genuinely this was a really uncomfortable setting. I hope they're friends in real life. it's really awkward. I don't know what to do. I'm in pain inside.

If I’m being totally honest, it’s a real shame that Joe Wright is far better known as a stoopid clown instead of one of the most talented steelers on the planet. I don’t find one second of any of the “comedy” even mildly amusing, in fact it’s offensive. It portrays country musicians (and audiences) as stupid backwoods drunken hillbilly hicks. That might have been funny to audiences in 1960 but those kind of stereotypes are just plain old today. They rank right up there with “Polack Jokes” or minstrel shows. Meanwhile I’ve never seen or heard anyone with a better mastery of the PSG or a more creative players. A few equals maybe, but he’s right up there. Unfortunately we have to deal with the circus to get there. I guess he’s calmed down in recent years and I hope that will be his legacy as a player. Just my .02 I do not expect anyone to agree with it.

Glad you don't expect anyone to agree! LOL Only kidding! We all know that Joe Wright is a superb player. That he chooses to have 'alter ego's' is surely, his choice. :-)
