Buddy was the consummate C6 neck player. Also met Memo Calderon at his restaurant in Del Rio back in the day. RIP all ❤

Frank Sinatra was once asked what was the secret of his successful singing career...He said, I I only hire the best musicians to back me up... Looks like Ray Price did the same..😎

Wow !!! Buddy made that song magical ! After he made one of his runs, Ray's face broke out in a grin at the way Buddy fit all that picking in and brought in in on a perfect meter. I love this.

There's bad-ass Bobby Caldwell sitting behind Buddy. What a guitarist he was! He played with everyone who appeared at Scotty's International Steel Convention.

Just one man’s opinion - Mike is the best pedal steel player today, and the heir to Buddy the Great.

This tune has a decent melody. The title is a poor choice of words.

🎉He is 100%, without dispute, da GOAT. If you want something fresh and unusual, check out the one with him playing with a jazz combo in Japan.

Are there any steel players today that play single note solos in the way Buddy did? Lots of great steel players but non on my radar that do it quite like this

If it wasn't for Buddy Emmons _gladly well to the fore_ I guess I wouldn't be seduced to even lookin' or listenin' to this kind of MOR 'country' The man really was one of the best.

Yeh Def a superb steel player Def one of the best in his era but the jazz thing does nothing for me as it all started off from Hawaiian lap steel progressing to western swing /country with the help of buddy and show Jackson inventing the levers and pedals for this most complicated of one of the worlds most diverse instruments a big hand to these guys 👏and god bless them 🙏 I've been trying to learn to play this insane instrument for 9 years wth the help and support from the Scottish gartosh psg group club meetings and a big thanks to these golden oldies great bunch of guys

Absolutely the best player to grace the steel guitar. Buddy was the whole package. Jazz, Country, Blues and even Rock. He set the standard that has yet to be topped. Seen him several times at steel shows. Always a class act.
