I miss travelling, seeing this was just wonderful, I'm mad jealous of a 60min firework display :)

How can you not love Japan during the summer season? I mean it's hot, really hot, but look at those matsuri. It's something magical, the celebration of life. Will be in Japan from September to October and already planning the next trip in January. Your rail series made me curious about winter in Japan. How long are you staying this time? Full 90 days, or new news coming soon? ;) Happy to see you smiling and shining again, enjoy it and it's always a mystical thing when you see a soul at the place where it belongs to. Cheers!

This was awesome Joe! I never thought that I’d be watching your Japanese fireworks festival vlog after finding your channel all those years ago through a desk setup video!

60 minutes, Wow. Sensory Overload or what. Make's me want to visit Japan. Here in Sydney we have the New Years Eve Fireworks and they go for around 15 - 20 minutes, I couldn't imagine 60 minutes, wow.

Always a good day when you post Joe :) Also love the mix of aspect ratios especially 4:3(?) for your self shots and 16:9 for the b-roll. Puts a smile on my face.
@joeallam
@joeallam 11 ай бұрын
Cheers! I’ve been wanting to experiment with 4:3 since I got the X-H2S, but never had the confidence it looked right on KZbin. Until I exported an experiment and realised it works pretty well! The other clips are DCI 17:9 though 🤓

Beautiful vid as always Joe - I'm going to Japan in a few weeks(first time ever!) and I've been loving all your Japan content recently; so much inspiration 😍 First big trip since upgrading from an x-t2 to the x-t5 so super excited to see how it performs (that x-h2s still performing like an absolute beast for you I see!)

Loved it thanks for sharing. As much as I love Japan, I think I am glad I got to watch this from the comfort of home. The crowds looked horrendous 🤯 Must be special to be there tho

I was there for both events in Osaka and I'll still be here for the next two months. I was inside the temple grounds for most of the Tenjin Matsuri event both days and then got swallowed by the swarm of people trying to see the fireworks - also didn't get a good view. And for the Yodogawa Hanabi fireworks I was just a littler further up the river than you. Both times probably just 100 meters or so away. What a coincidence to see both of those events here on your channel.

Have you given any thought to actually moving to Japan to live? I feel like this is where you are most comfortable and create your best content. Another great video, thanks for letting me experience a little of Japan through it.

OMG I'm totally second guessing my idea of bringing a camera gimbal after watching this 😅😱 so many people! Is this how it is year round? I'm only a week from being in shibuya/toshima and then Osaka is 5 days after. The amount of people in the subway is insane.
