Just came here to too if see if anybody was commenting. Watching some of the videos...I think Wayne may have been the best dancer. They were ALL underrated musicians...but, of course, SO talented vocally. I'm only 59...but it made me a bit aware of mortality...and sad.
@tonycritcher341920 күн бұрын
@@bradyguy7701 I do believe that it was by concentrating on the Donny and Marie shows that took them away from their writing more great albums such as The Plan, Crazy Horses and Phase 111. Their performances were always second to none, they worked so hard and their talents top notch. I have been to concerts in theatres here in the UK that can only seat around 600 people and barely been half full, but the performance was never any less than those holding thousands. These were shows by Merrill, Jay and Jimmy. As well as each one individually. My first concert was at Earls Court in 1975 and the latest was to see Jay a few months ago in Clacton on Sea. So at 66 and having been a fan for over 50 years, it was a shock to hear of Wayne's passing. They worked so hard and I believe it has taken its toll over the years as they now have so many health issues, some of which began to manifest many years ago. I was at Drury Lane in 1980 for three of their concerts where one night, Merrill had to pull out of the tour and return home. May God bless them all as we still appreciate their contribution to entertaining millions. They never forgot where they started nor their beliefs. Much respect to them all! Fly High Wayne!

@stilllovethoseOsmonds2 ай бұрын
Oh my goodness, I have loved them since I was little from watching them on The Andy Williams show. I'm 6 months older than Donny. Do I remember those magazines?! Let's just say I bought every issue that came out including "FAVE" do y'all remember that one? As my daddy used to say God rest his soul "I spent so much money on them ( or my parents did ) that I owned a piece of the rock!!! 😂 My room was Osmond wallpaper from the top of the ceiling to the baseboards! Every single wall. I bought a life size poster of Donny in his gold colored corduroy Jacket & Pants at one of their concerts I went to in Nashville Tennessee at The Municipal Auditorium. I had a canopy bed so I had my daddy take my canopy off & put Donny's life size poster on my ceiling over my bed with thumb tacks!! He was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes in the morning & the last thing I saw when I closed them at night! I had everything that came out if it was the Osmonds !! I was going to marry Donny & my best friend Michelle was going to marry Jay. Boy were we both in for a rude awakening!!! 😮 Even though I've never gotten to meet them I feel I've known them & they've been my very best friends my whole life. They helped me to stay on the right road especially through my teenage years & some very rough ones in my marriage. As I got older & a lot of my friends were trying things they shouldn't have been Michelle & I was either at one or the others house listening to their records , dancing & singing with them or crying cuz we wanted to meet them so bad!! Michelle passed away in 2013 at the age of 56 from heart failure. I know if she were still here she'd still love them just as much as I do. I went to see Donny in Minneapolis Minnesota in Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. What a show!! So worth all the money I worked so hard to save for!! I took my mama , daughter, niece & nephew. We had the time of our life!! Donny was so awesome they all were . I'm so glad I went. I hope to see him one day doing his Vegas act. So far I've not been able to find out in time when he comes to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. They're always sold out or just have the real high seats where you can't even see him. Maybe one day before I have to leave this world to go be with the Lord I will get to see him again. If not I truly thank God for all the wonderful music & concerts I did get to see & especially the memories. I'm so glad they were my teen idols. 😊 I just know that at 67 they all still make my tennis shoes smoke especially Donny!!!! 😅😂 If any one of you ever see & read this I want y'all to know I still Love y'all with all my heart & soul & I always will!!!!!! ❤❤

Maybe no lip syncing in this video (I haven't watched it yet), but they lip synced much of their career. Donny Osmond reveals in his book that they had a sound track tape called "Melvin" that they used routinely. They lip-synced to songs that they had not rehearsed and therefore could not have sung live if they tried. They even lied to the audience one when Melvin malfunctioned and said they would now do the song live, when in fact they were just buying time for Melvin to be reset.

it is a great shame that after they got married they let their self go. OMG Merrill look's like he was in his 80s . Now it is just sad to watch them prance around on stage trying to recapture their youth. . It is like watching my 40 year old nice chasing after the. Back street boys.

I'll never forget seeing The Osmonds, with Donny and Marie and Jimmy in concert twice in 1975 and 1978. My mother was so sweet to accompany her 12 and then 15 year old daughter at the Ottawa Central Exhibition here in Ottawa, Canada. To this day I will never forget seeing them onstage....a dream come true. Forever a fan of theirs. ❤😍🤗😍♥️

Yeah, Alan can't keep on task, Wayne is totally deaf, Jay got out of entertainment again and Jimmy probably won't ever get back on stage either.

They sure we're fun to watch. I can't get over how much Merrill and Jimmy look so much alike. I sure hope all of them are enjoying their lives and families. They sure work hard for retirement.

Marie, Donny and Jay aren’t retired. Merrill keeps saying he’s going to then doesn’t. He’s serving a mission at the moment but will be in UK at the end of it.
