CVT works more efficiently when you dont floor it, letting the speed build up and not letting the revs get too high. Ive had Subaru CVT, easy to accelerate without the engine sounding strained.

Can you pls make a video about Mitsubishi Colt or Mirage 1995-2002 hatchback? I really like your videos, they are awesome!

Czy w tym aucie jest tak głośno, czy okno jest gdzieś otwarte? 15 minut jazdy bym nie wytrzymał w takim szumie.

You wrote again contradicting information. In the title 2,0 136 HP, in the description 1,4, then 1595 cmc and 157 HP.

Co tam się wyczynia z obrotami podczas jazdy? Spadają do 1k rpm czasem do 0, potem znowu na 2krpm. Skrzynia żyje własnym życiem.

Notice how there is no Spirited Driving section. that's because the Crosstrek with the 2.0l engine is incapable of anything close to spirited driving LOL

I had the previous shape Outback, 2016 model. In S mode it could fly without much effort. This guy is flooring it which makes it slower, daft as it sounds because the steel belt type CVT is not designed for heavy acceleration. Yes it can do it, but trying to force it to react quickly wont work. You can pick up perfectly well by letting the CVT catch up with engine speed, not the other way round.

your speed is constant but rpm is like a heartbeat. rising and falling. (specially on da highway drive) is it normal? It looks disgusting. I couldn't focus on anything else.

Because it's not constant on acceleration pedal

You need to add mountain or some twisty roads to liven up the videos. These roads are extremely boring and cvt transmission is just adding up to the misery. That is one good solid real-deal awd crossover by the way.
@totojejedinecnynick5 ай бұрын
dude, those 1second long cuts to second camera and pointless, annoying and useless. They do not add anything. They just distract because that second camera is showing nothing and it is crooked. Fix it for your next videos please. Not hating, just want you to make better edits.

Isnt it lineartronic ?
@oddities-whatnot2 ай бұрын
No it doesn’t, Subaru confirmed it with me the other week. It’s still the lineartronic setup. It is not an eCVT although it would be more efficient and quicker to respond plus longer lasting if it was. I don’t know why Subaru doesn’t use it, works well enough for Toyota, Lexus and Honda.

You obviously don’t understand anything about them. I prefer the seamless dynamic instead of feeling the gear changes. Its not a sports car, its a heavy AWD car designed for exactly what we are seeing in this video. What are you expecting ?
