@@mikefaassen8130 you are mixing things up. First of all these were always 1.8. Second of all the successor was the 2.0 BWA EA113, which was in the TT 8J from 2006-2009. That was a brilliant engine, extremly reliable. The successor of that engine however was the 2.0 EA888 which in Gen 1 was in the TT from 2009-2014. While this engine was very efficient, made good power and had good tuning capabilities it was flawed with timing chain issues and oil consumption.
@mikefaassen81302 жыл бұрын
@@GuardsRed996 I didnt say the 2.0T was in gen1 TT. I said the 2.0T till 2006 was a good engine. Second, I don’t know that exactly so I believe you are right. But to be sure I wouldn’t touch any 4 cylinder VAG turbo engine from ‘08 till ‘14. It’s pretty recent, but you don’t see many models on the road from that era. On the other hand you still see a lot VW, Audi, skoda and Seat till 2006 around.

exactly and its fwd.. all 225s came standart with the 1st gen haldex system, 90/10 torque split for normal driving conditions and up to 50/50 once the front tires start to lose traction. Also the charge/boost pipe routing is different, mostly because of the dual side mounted intercoolers that 225s had just like the 8l s3s.

its not that this is 150 or 180hp model as the 225 and 210(k04) models have dual exhausts. the intake manifold is also the other way on these k03 engines which you can see in the video. k04 also comes with 4wd haldex and 6 speed which this isnt. the k04 engines official is 0-60 in 6.8s.
@violr Жыл бұрын
@@alexpsp00 K04 is turbo not engine. Engine code is BAM or AMK - older S3s APY. 210/225HP, but the stronges TTs had only BAM 225 - difference between AMK is only on the paper and fuel consumption and ECu optimalization, on wheels the power is the same. Only these top engines had double intercoolers with different pipe on the passenger side and some slight differences. 0-100 was aroun 6,5s but if you know how to drive, you can get under 6 seconds. These engines are lengendary and are still beasts. Still can keep up with today GTIs, Ns, MPS etc. Easily to hard tune - stock forged inside parts etc. If someone wants to buy Turbocharched car, he definitely should trying to search for the Audi and their legendary turbo engines - 2.2T, 1.8T, 2.7biT, 2.0 TSi... when audi made some S/RS model woth NA engine or Supercharged it was crap, when Turbo, it was beast and fun to drive

I also have one with ABS issues. In this case is probably just a bad ABS sensor since only the ESP and ABS lights are on, you can figure out which using VAG-COM. If you get ESP + ABS + Flashing Handbrake light the ABS module is dead and needs to be rebuild. There are several forums with people having this same problems, looks like a common failure point on this cars.
