Miałem okazję przejechać😃 się taki volkswagenem polo od moje teściowej z silnikem 1.4 i powiem szczerze że jest to super auto miejskie dla kobiety która potrzebuje pojechać do pracy, na zakupy czy np odebrać dzieci ze szkoły bądź przedszkola .Sprawdzi się też dla początkującego kierowcy . Mało awaryjny , jeśli chodzi o mnie w prowadzeniu jest Świetny demonem prędkości to auto nie jest ale na miasto jest dobrą opcją 😃

This polo is in very good condition after 17 years. But 1.2.... 1.4 is better - burns the same, but reaches easily 160-170 km/h and has got 4 cylinders

I don't think that people in Poland are so poor to drive a low powered manual cars, so why do they do it then?

They are, average car is over 14 yeard old, vast majority of cars have small economical engines and manual transmissions. Automatics are more expensive, maintenance is more expensive, fuel consumption goes up, perofrmance goes down.

The majority of Poles don't take long trips to their work or school. So economically - doesn't matter whether you're rich or poor - the best engines are the small ones. Before I got my driving license I dreamed of a big car with a big engine. But I got a 1.0 72 HP city car. At first I felt sad about it being weak, but it was really enough. Small cars with economic engines just won't burn a hole in the pocket. Poles know that and thus 'weak' engines are popular here.

1.2 6v is actually pretty unreliable. It's better to avoid this one and look for 1.4 instead.
