I’m rolling with Rory, this younger 15-21 generation seriously doesn’t give a shit about anything but is the music hot. They won’t even bother to look up the artist name or do any research but will know all the words to the song. Joe and Mal still stuck in Rocafella era rules.

Exactly, he can go away and do reggaeton & still pop. Only problem was he wasn't that hot. He wasn't a household name.

Ror is 100% right. Y’all have to listen to his perspective. He’s younger. I’m 23. I know for a fact that some people my age and ESPECIALLY the young kids will continue to listen to 69. The younger audience only cares about the music and don’t care if the image is real. If artists like Lil Baby or Blueface came out and said, “We’re really nerds from wealthy families. We have no real ties to the hood”, the kids would still listen. It’s just like the Drake ghostwriter situation. That should have naturally made Drake look like a manufactured personality, but people didn’t care after a while. Attention spans are too short.
@702prodigy

aye listen to papoose new shit. you’ll never go back to 69.
@imweirdniknowit

What’s funny is that there’s proof. All the lil’s out now are mainly from upper to middle class homes, rap about “the struggle” and people maybe 2 years younger than me (I’m 24) eat that shit up. Even the migos are from middle income families. Kids today do not care if you have street cred or if you live by street rules. If your music hits in their opinion, they will listen to it, no matter what.

These dudes stole from him, messed up his business by booking shows behind his back then taking money and having promoters and bookers mad at him, allegedly sleeping with his baby mama, and we’re going to violate him when he cut them off. @@KingRose339There's so much sht people swore wasn't possible that happened. Tupac's dead & still releasing music, you think they won't let him record music to take the financial burden of his witness protection off tax payers. Producers can send beats to him digitally. He can troll from home, internet gangsters do it everyday. It's more possible than people realize and there's propaganda going around saying, if they fk'd your woman, stole your money and plotted to kill you,would you snitch. The younger generation doesn't care. I can see him dumping witness protection hiring top notch security n putting out music n running his mouth again.

The papoose, Cassidy, Lloyd banks days, I feel like we were the last generation to care about bars and punchlines, oh and we had smack dvd. Battle rap exploded in our era. We had the entire mixtape era.. hell even joe budden mood music was in our era and that series is one of the greatest mixtape series of all time, and we got Kendrick and cole

T W I N I was born in 95 but was always with my dad and his boys. I have clear memories of listening to Dmx on my way to elementary school in the morning. Barking and getting in trouble 😂. I agree with everything you said though.

September 15, 2019 will mark the 10th anniversary of Kid Cudi’s debut album Man on The Moon: End of Day. Joe won’t be able to handle “Rory’s generation” then. 🚀 🌙 👨‍🚀

I agree. See my thing is, Drake is cool, but he basically took the torch from Wayne and put his own spin to that style. Especially early in Drake's career he raps a lot like Wayne. Cudi on the other hand is completely original. Nobody sounded like him before.

@ParisTokyo I am talking about early in Drake's career. He evolved over time. During this convo they are talking about So Far Gone and I think that project has a Wayne kinda sound. I do like Drake and I think he is talented. However, I think Cudi is way more original and has had more influence on the new generation of rappers like Travis, Uzi, Juice Wrld, etc.

Different is I know a lot of people who never heard man on the moon and cudi isn’t as hot as drake is now. So i don’t see it being as big as so far gone
