They stay hating on dude because he doesn’t fit the typical celebrity mold. He’s an industry artist moving like he’s underground and still as big as any other industry cat. Really hope he leaves the machine alone and go underground after these last few projects. The other Dreamville artist need to learn from what’s going on and go Indy as well. They’re all crazy talented while being under appreciated as artist.

I respect Cole so much. One of the only ones to make it to that ascension that I feel that he’s at while doing it his own way. Yes early on he tried to get hits but I feel that was that same time that people used to call him corny and he had a hardcore fan base but not at the top imo. After Born Sinner (which I never was a fan of) he started to do shit his own way, whether in his favor or his detriment it got him to where he is. No features, rapping over his own beats, staying in his own lane… he did that. Then he started to come outside and spent the 3 years straight murdering any and everything he was featured on. Got nothing but respect for Cole.
@jaycee5750
@jaycee5750 Ай бұрын
@@SoMixedUp Cole was forced to make hits by the label and Jay or they wouldn’t have put his first album out cause they thought his album would flop. This is where Cole changed the game and created his own rules. Born Sinner he had to follow their rules but only a little bit. Cole World picture Cole in hell and depressed having to change his sound and lose his artistry by making a label forced album full of reaches for hits. Born Sinner is him having some freedom after fucking up the game and selling 218k copies first week after execs and labels projected to flop at around 70k first week. Born Sinner is Cole trying to write his way out of that hell and you can see the arch in the album when that happens. 2014 FHD is Cole having full freedom on his album and realising this industry shit ain’t for him and returning home to his roots and finding happiness Since 2014 FHD he’s been completely free That’s why at the height of his popularity after 2014 FHD he dropped an album like 4 Your Eyez Only and shocked the world. Think about that shit for a second. Who dropping an album like 4YEO at the peak of their popularity? No features, no leaks, no promo, no roll out, no singles. People don’t give him enough credit.
