Thank you, sir. What if you want to come back and work on a painting at a later date. Your painting will be dry and if you spray it, you’ll have cauliflower all over the place won’t you? Please help thank you.

Yes it will. Instead of spraying it you have to carefully re-wet the surface with a big soft brush and lots of water.
