He said as you commit the sin say I am the righteousness of God in Christ as Jesus is in Heaven so am I in this world. The Holy Spirit will take over, Galatians 5:21. He (The Holy Spirit will do it for you) I felt like a hypocrite every time a grabbed a slab o chocolate but I kept on, one day I didn't care about sugar or even overeating. @@InquisitorCyThIn afterlife. It says in the New Testament: "When the soul leaves the body, for 2 days "until the sealing of the tomb" the soul goes to the persons it knew when it was alive and then, it has the opportunity to travel throughout the universe. After the sealing of the tomb the soul is judged, and when it reaches the Lord, it will feel an indescribable joy and will never again feel pain and sorrow." In this world we have one mission: To take up our Cross, however heavy it may be! We will never feel real joy in this world "you usually only feel this way when you pray", there will always be some "death of a loved one, depression, social problems, stress." I'm going through a similar thing. I just started reading again, from the beginning. I have tried this several times throughout my life, and it reads different every time. I'm not exactly coming into it this time with a peace or calmness though. I'm trying to get back on track, but there are questions. I thought I would read a chapter a day. That lasted for the first week. Then I just read until it was time to go to work. In this case, I may have put away five or six chapters. None of that is the curious part though. Whats curious is that I am frustrated by most of what I'm reading (still on Genesis, by the way), yet I am compelled to keep reading. I should be discouraged by what the word is saying to me this time around, yet despite my aggrevations, its holding on to me. I'm looking at the fallacies of civilizations being born of two people. I'm questioning the entitlement and loyalty to Abraham and his sons while the rest of the world seems forgotten about. I never saw this in previous readings. It never struck me. It sounds like I'm being skeptical, and maybe I am, but I'm compelled to keep reading. I'm hoping to make peace with this as I keep reading.

Update08/11/24: I worked a 12 hr studio session on two projects for different artists. Afterwards, I went to another studio space owned by a production company (I'm working for free under the promise of money for "when we blow"). Hey little one, God will guide you if you keep praying and trusting in Him. Don't worry we are all kids. God is our Father! We all struggle with sin and earthly feelings and things. I am having a lot of issues aswell but I trust in Him so one day I may be freed from these sins and disease. I'm not young but also not old, but I can tell you I experienced a lot for my age. My biggest advise: Keep praying to Jesus Christ everyday and read a good version of the Bible that you will understand . Lord Jesus Christ is the son of God and died for our sins but rose from the grave on the 3rd day!! If you believe that you will be saved. And it trouble and struggle comes, well we all have to carry our own problems but He will help them carry for you and comfort you!

Hey cat. I’m 29, currently studying for a career in ministry. Given our similar age, I may have some clue as to what you might be experiencing with this decision. It’s great you are looking for a Christian community on social media. I’d like to take this opportunity to lovingly exhort you to find a church if you haven’t already. That is one of the greatest things young Christian men like us can do because we are desperately needed in all aspects of ministry. If you have questions, feel free to reach out. Worship God, love others, and make new disciples for Christ. Welcome home, brother.

Jesus never said "I am God" in the Bible. The belief in the Trinity emerged in the 3rd century AD. Islam was sent because Christianity had been corrupted. There are thousands of abstract and concrete scientific evidences proving Islam to be the true religion. The Quran is a miracle in itself, containing no contradictions. It also contains thousands of scientific facts. These scientific facts were discovered in the 19th century, which couldn't have been known by someone 1400 years ago, indicating that it was revealed by an all-knowing entity.

People (including how I used to be) will say that God is silent, but their Bibles are closed. God has given us His *Word* to *Speak* to us. It's the Living Word of God. The Bible is the sword that we carry into battle daily. If you don't read, how are you going to defend yourself against the principalities and powers and false doctrines that bombard us each day? Want to grow in Christ? Read the word. Pray to the Father. It's simple, so why don't we do it?
@megb6820 Жыл бұрын
@@AvgGuy3512perhaps because too many try to read it in their own strength and understanding. I encourage anyone wanting to read the Bible to ask Holy Spirit to increase their hunger for the Word, and to help them as they read. That is one of the reasons he (Holy Spirit) was sent. He also empowers us to understand, and then to do all that Jesus commanded us to do. Christians need the baptism in and empowerment of the Holy Spirit to truly live the Christian life. Acts 1:4-5,8 NASB Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me; [5] for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” [8] but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.”

My Favorite story is Jonah: Jonah was saved from drowning when he was swallowed by a “great fish.” He lived for three days inside the creature, after which the fish “vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.” Thankful that his life had been spared, Jonah took up his prophetic mission.

Fantastic! Now prepare for the s-h-o-c-k: When his 3n3m13s asked for a sign from Jesus that proves that he's the true Messiah, the only and exclusive sign Jesus prophecied them was the sign of Jonah. As Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the fish, so shall the Son of Man be in the belly of the earth. How was Jonah during the said time? Jonah was Alive So shall Jesus be. Deuteronomy 22: 28 ‘If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.’ Why did god force women to marry their abuser?
@bhavikshilodhiya35765 ай бұрын
@@anonymous.anonymity. Good question. Let me ask you my one question now, if you were born in a time when wars were common and marrying many queens and keeping concubines were not unusual things, and you were a warrior in an army at that time, would you have any guilt in your heart for killing 100 men of the rival king with your sword? Not at all, in fact it would be considered an accomplishment both by you and your colleague warriors which is considered wrong today. Similar is this case, in the older times the father of the rape victim pleaded to the rapist to marry his daughter. I have noticed that even till this day this happens in many rural parts of India ( I'm an Indian). The point is, a lot of things were right in the past ( because of the hardened hearts of the people of that age ) and are wrong now, and a lot of things were wrong in the past and right now. Virginity of women was considered a sign of purity, and body count more than one was considered a sign of shame, thus the fathers of rape victims wanted rapists to marry there daughters as they would be considered a sign of shame if they married another man despite of the fact that the rapists lack self-control, are violent and risky as a husband. If you tell a terrorist - ' loving others is good ' , you'll sound foolish to them because of their hardened hearts. Similarly, God knew what would sound foolish, so instead he allowed this because of the hardened hearts of the people of that age. God detests murder and adultery. He fulfilled the law through is son Jesus who said - Love your enemies.

@@anonymous.anonymity. That's a fair question. Unfortunately, the NIV’s translation is a poor one at this point, and the word bluntly & unequivocally translated “rape” can mean other things. The pertinent Hebrew word simply means to take hold of something, grasp it in hand, and (by application) to capture or seize something. It is the verb used for ‘handling’ the harp and flute (Gen. 4:21), the sword (Ezek. 21:11; 30:21), the sickle (Jer. 50:16), the shield (Jer. 46:9), the oars (Ezek. 27:29), and the bow (Amos 2:15). iow, the Hebrew word itself does not suggest force of any kind & ought not be unambiguously translated as “rape.” At least not without appropriate scholarly notation & clarification. It is necessary to take Deuteronomy 22:28-29 together with Exodus 22:16-17, which says this: "If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, he shall give the bride price for her and make her his wife. If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money equal to the bride price for virgins." These two passages cover the same situation: a man sleeps with a virgin who is not betrothed. Note that, in Exodus 22, there is no hint of force or rape - there is only enticement or seduction. The penalty is that he must pay the dowry and marry the girl; if the girl’s father doesn’t like the match, he can refuse to allow the marriage. According to the halakha, the girl had a similar right of refusal. But the man who fooled around must still pay the dowry. And so, in the words of Old Testament scholar Sandra Richter, “‘Walk-away Joes’ were required to ‘man up’ as regards the woman they had compromised and the potential children they had created.” It’s crucial to view the context of Deuteronomy 22:13-29. The entire passage is devoted to offenses involving women, including "a man is found guilty of rape; result: he is executed (verses 25-27)." The fact that Deuteronomy 22:28-29 deals with consensual sex, not rape, is proved in 4 ways: 1) A comparison with the parallel law in Exodus 22:16-17 (see above) shows that no force is involved. The “seizing” of the girl, as the ESV and NKJV say in Deuteronomy 22:28, has more to do with seduction than coercion. 2) The verses immediately preceding Deuteronomy 22:28-29 have already dealt with rape (verses 25-27). The penalty for that crime is specified: the rapist is executed. There’s no reason to deal with rape again in verses 28-29. Further, the penalties are different: in one, the man dies; in the other, the man lives. Obviously, different crimes are in view. 3) Deuteronomy 22:28 contains an important statement that cannot be overlooked: “and they are discovered.” In other words, it’s not just the man who is “found out” (NKJV); it’s both of them. It’s a case in which both the man and the woman somehow share a portion of the blame. Therefore, “there is no force involved, and it is not rape. But their action has been discovered. The man cannot walk away from his sin. He has put the young woman in a very difficult life situation, in which there would be few (or no) other men who would want to marry her. God holds both parties accountable, instructing them to get married and stay together” (Butt, op. cit.). 4) There are two distinct Hebrew words used in the same passage. The word translated “rapes” in Deuteronomy 22:25 is the Hebrew word chazaq. But verse 28 contains a different verb, translated “seizes” in the ESV: taphas. The different verbs suggest different actions. No, the Old Testament never commands a rape victim to marry her rapist. The irrevocable marriage contract was reserved for men who had mistreated a woman in some way and damaged her ability to marry. The New Living Translation of Deuteronomy 22:28-29 probably comes the closest to the law’s original intent: Suppose a man has intercourse with a young woman who is a virgin but is not engaged to be married. If they are discovered, he must pay her father fifty pieces of silver. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he may never divorce her as long as he lives. Dr. Richter sums up: “In Deuteronomy, victims of sexual misconduct were constitutionally protected from the economic consequences of assault and seduction. ‘Walk-away Joes’ were required to ‘man up.’ ...[the young woman was shielded] from the economic & social fallout of the encounter. Rape victims were assumed innocent. Women so abused were expected to report. Convicted rapists were executed” (op. cit.).

@HasnainKhan-lh6si im sorry, but that is not what I believe. The Holy Spirit is God's spirit. Yet the Holy Spirit is with us on earth. This does not mean heaven is empty. God is with you and with me at the same time. HEAVEN is not empty. God saw our sinful ways. We stole, committed adultry, killed, lusted, and abused others. So much evil was in the world, and God knew that not just any sacrifice could forgive our terrible actions. So he decided to fix it himself. He came to earth as a man (Let me remind you HEAVEN WAS NOT EMPTY) To be the final sacrifice so that we may be forgiven for our sins. He was and is a sinless being that at the time was truly fit for this role. I don't know if my faith will lead me to heaven, but I want to believe in Jesus! I won't force you into my ways because God has given you the free will to make your own decisions. God bless you.
