Joe, it's pretty clear that your videos are first and foremost meant to help people, which is in sharp contrast to many other channels, where the focus is getting that sweet ad revenue - pumping out video after video, with ever more useless tips that no one will be able to stick to. This young man is a model to follow for future KZbinrs. He approaches fitness rationally and philosophically. Also of note is the fact that he embodies authenticity by speaking in his own voice and with natural gestures. He has avoided the artificial, “larger than life” (e.g. obnoxious) KZbin personality. He is a true value to the community.

Man, you are a special human being! I’ve watched a few of your videos. Some of them great, some good. Not all relatable because I am working on being more supple than strong. But this video is just so universal. It could have been easily about how to achieve anything in life. There’s so much wisdom in what you said, but more importantly, it is so relatable because clearly it is borne out of your personal experience and observations of life. And what can I say about your delivery… eloquence, effortless humour and that clear fact that this is what you are rather than this being the content you created for KZbin. Love you man.

I don’t replace sugars with anything. I’ve always eaten healthy but wanted to give Carnivore diet a try five months ago and absolutely love it. No inflammation from the carbs…no highs and lows before or after eating. 200g of protein a day. 70-90g of fat. Less than 20g carb, less than 10g of sugar. 5-11 /192lbs. It works for me and I’m at the gym 6/7 days per week. Just found and love this channel.

Bonus: You have to WANT it You have to want to get lean MORE than you want consume calorie dense foods. You have to want consume less calories than you expend to lose fat. #1 Control your satiety 2:09 Hunger is a tool of survival Willpower will NOT overcome hunger Using willpower is draining Consume foods that helps satiety (High water content, high protein, high fibre, slow digesting) #2 Pace yourself 4:19 Don’t overdo the calorie deficit Don’t over do the training Aim how much fat to lose each week, be realistic, Don’t rush it #3 Track your progress 6:18 What gets measured gets managed Initially and for short term no need to track Over time changes are so small it is necessary to track outcomes: A. Track Calories B. Track Body Weight C. Track Activity Level #4 Consistency 8:31 Don’t stop. Carry On. If results plateau keep going, make appropriate changes but Do not give up #5 Don’t get bored 10:21 Eventually weight loss and progress will slow down Then it becomes routine and boring Boredom can result in snacking Business reduces snacking Don’t get bored with training, mix it up Do workouts you like Don’t do workouts you dislike The End

I find number 5 to be so true. I'm a BIG YT consumer(kind of an addict) and for years my brain associated passive actions, like watching videos, to me being hungry, when in reality im not hungry but just bored and my brain just wants to do something. So if you find yourself in this situation, you need to understand this pattern and do something else that involves your full attention.

Great advise. Baby steps . Small changes you build up on add up to big changes over time. Better to do less and be consistent then do more that's not sustainable. I started out slow . Like not eating after 7 pm for a week. Then eating clean and eating foods that keept me full..then I did samll interment fasts. Worked out 3 days a week but focused on form and built up my intensity and now am physical 5 days a weel becuse i want to... First 20 lbs came off fast .then platud for a week or so. I just keep going then realized the scale said no your not losing much weight but my paints falling off and the mirror was tellinge diffrent. I was gaining a lot of muscle replacing the fat. Then I hit another weight lose spike. Ya get it. Just keep going. Make one habit stick then move on to another one. Still have a ways to go to reach my goal. But what I do now is just my way of life. And I now look forward to work-outs . My healthy eating. Becuse I feel great and I know it's working . It's a marathone not a race. All those carp foods I loved I no longer desire. But that took was some time to stick
