This song really touched me, Joe. In many ways it reminded me of myself and my own small hometown. Although this story was much more poignant, still there were many similarities as I dreamed of what was on the other side of the mountains. I wonder if I'll ever go back. I like the idea of seeing the world and then returning to your roots, captured beautifully in this song. The personal touches about your father were touching. How on earth did i miss this beautifully written and performed song!!??? Oh Joe....this is so wonderful.....it put a bit of a lump in my throat.....i'm listening a second time and i feel this song in my soul.
