You can save time by allocating a type of bus to a particular timetable automatically. If required you can create custom types to make things even tighter.

Shift Schedule tips; You can make custom groups for vehicles (click on the drop down in the Shift Schedule itself for any bus and it has a 'Manage Vehicle Groups' option) You should ideally give the bus like 30 mins or so to come back and go out again, in case there's something like a flat tire. Definitely introduce number plates. I personally try to do realistic plates, but even if you use the reg plate feature to give your fleet a scheme of fleet numbers, just use it to keep the fleet organised. I know in my saves, I like to have brand new buses be new models, whereas I'll only buy older stuff second-hand, and then I'd apply plates that make sense. I then tend to use those older examples as spares vehicles, but prioritise the newest stuff to more important routes. But this last bit is down to preference really.

Hi Lucy! I've followed some of your tips in the video that'll come out shortly, except I kept leaving less than half an hour because I'm lazy! :o Private plates will definitely follow, it's just getting round to doing them. We're definitely sticking with new buses now I think, they're just so much easier :D

You should drive all of these on OMSI now in Joe Ahead livery! You can do citaro, solo, enviro! And in the near future: Gemini 2, Olympian and old eclipse!

After you've imported a livery, before you click apply, save it locally, then you can load, instead of importing every time, without having to browse through your entire game folder.
