The whole Pioneer Album is fire, one of my favorites of this year along with the Brave 2 with Tom & Adam. 4:18 that’s a very deep hole. He has been blackballed by Nashville. At one point they had all the clubs refuse to allow him to play. So he did a video where he went to the bank and got him a bag and told mainstream that was fine he would buy out every show they did so he was the only one in the audience sitting in a lawn chair with a bottle of booze and they wouldn’t be able to play for anyone. That was like 2019/2020. They wanted to sign him so he went and took what gifts they offered and looked at their contract just to mess with them. He talks about it in one of the Hi-deas, I think it was 7. You should absolutely check out Hi-deas 1 - 10

Upchurch's videographer and Manager is Branden Luce, aka ALuceVision. Branden Luce, from my knowledge, came from Houston and ended up moving to Tennessee after he started filming Church's videos about 5-6 years ago. I love the video breakdown as well as just how into the music you get. I think that a good followup video to this would be "Built Like That", it is another video off the same album. That one has a whole set that was created in a warehouse for most of video, although some shots were from the house you see in the background of the Desperado video.

I love the songs Hillbilly and First Day Out. They're old but amazing vibes. From the newer album I love Flowers All Bloom. Totally different style but it makes me bop. This whole album felt like a new, more mature state of mind for him. It felt deeper, more introspective than ever, especially following all the ish he went through with his Mom. And, to be fair, that wild of a betrayal could have trashed him. Now, with him back to his irrational rants and having beef with everyone that shared a portion of his journey, it's Just sad. I hope he's still got a friend who wants to get real with him. Maybe they can help him get grounded again... Before he implodes.
