well they were mugged in broad daylight iirc so like. considering that all these images were taken at night and they weren't mugged during these photos [presumably] which is the point of the first part of the song. rotary park [those who own it and surround it] didn't react much even though they were beaten while the sun was out, which is also [i think] why the pictures taken during daylight were spinning and sickening

Fun fact: Did you know that your mother filmed this video? They asked her to get some footage of Rotary Park but she didn't want to get accused of kicking around by local officials, so she set up some three point lighting shots and got rolling with her camera. (Hence the rotating video.) Then she bounced before they could catch her name which is why she's not in the credits. Personally I think her shots of the hoop are real slam dunks.

You're walking through Rotary Park at night. It seems perfectly safe, when you spot him; ACTUAL CANNIBAL SHIA LaBEOUF! I don't know, Joe was in Tally Hall, Rob was in Tally Hall, and I felt like making a stupid joke. But this is seriously a great song (of course, what else could one expect from the greatness that is Joe Hawley/Musical Miracle/wHaleJoey/other name he has)! Keep up the good work, Joe!

LegoLab (This isn't specifically about their music) Flash back to late 2016, at one of the final debates between our candidates. "Welcome," the host began glumly. "To the presidential debates. Please welcome Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Jill Stein, and Gary Johnson." He sighed, stepping back, letting the candidates come onto stage. Soon enough, the candidates were fighting among each other. Certain parts of the crowd cheered at their candidates 'roasting' their opponents. In the back, the host was slowly getting angrier and angrier. Not being able to take it any longer, he strode forward. "ENOUGH!" He shouted, "The United States of America," he turned to address the crowds. "Is this really what we have come to? Please, for just a moment, let go of your biases, and think. These two," he motioned at Hillary and Donald, "are what we've decided would be the ideal leaders of this country? Why have we come to this? This country needs a strong leader, who will fight for the best country we could ever have." For the next few hours, this man went on, and across the country, people watched from televisions, from the audience, and wept, knowing that their bias had forced them to choose bad leaders, just so they could feel better about themselves. "This country needs a strong, decisive leader, who can make the choices that his or her people want." Something glinted in his eye. "We need none other than," he ripped off his head, revealing another one underneath; the head and red tie of the tally hall guitarist. "Oh... JOE HAWLEY JOE HAWLEY JOE HAWLEY JOE HAWLEY JOE HAWLEY!" Suddenly, the floor under Donald and Hillary broke open, letting them fall through, while a green-tied keyboardist and a gray-tied drummer flew out of the holes. As well as this, a whistling sounded, as an orange-tied whistler and accordion-er fell out of the sky, landing on the stage. A yellow-tied guitarist and blue-tied bassist jumped out of the crowd, and the five began playing a song. This ballad was known as 'Greener', and everyone in the crowd, who were conveniently carrying lighters, started doing that thing where you wave back and forth with a lighter in your hand. A new host, sobbing tears of joy, picked up the microphone. "Mister Hawley, what are your views on... everything?" Instead of answering, Joe listened to the music, and began jumping in a beautiful dance sequence to the song. And that, my friends, is how we destroyed a corrupt government, and elected the leader we truly needed.
