Joel Embiid is the dirtiest player in the NBA. It’s a blessing that he plays today rather than in the 80’s or the 90’s, for his sake. There would’ve been immediate retribution from Charles Oakley or an Anthony Mason or Patrick Ewing. Embiid is protected in this league and the bias against the New York Knicks has been exposed.

And it’s awkward when he does it. He makes it clear that it’s dirty. The Hartenstein one is something that Green would do, but the nonsense he tried to do to Robinson, is something Green would’ve done if Mitchell was standing over him. Mitchell was going to land in front of him, so he did that unnecessarily. That’s how you know that the Sixers are embarrassed to be in this position.
