HELLDIVERS 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. From a 3rd person perspective, players use a variety of weapons (pistols, machine guns, flamethrowers) and stratagems (turrets, airstrikes, etc.) to shoot and kill the alien threats. Players can also aim down the sights for a more accurate 1st person camera view. Combat is accompanied by frequent sprays of blood and dismemberment as players exterminate the alien forces or players and squad mates are hit by environmental explosions or friendly fire. Enemy encampments and battlefield environments depict bloodstains and dismembered corpses.

The fact the bug got fixed shows that we would most likely have gotten the bugs in a day. They outnumber bots ten to one, and yet even right now on bots we straight up hit 600mil early on.

Oh thank goodness, I havent been able to play since the day that droped and I stayed on bug planets cuz we had one at 99% and another over 75% so I wanted to make sure they got liberated while I knew everyone was out killing bots cuz of the major order. Godspeed divers!

@@Lord_Numpty Because they have to get to you first; If you kill them before they can get close they do 0 damage. Bots have guns and never have to reload. It's common sense.

@@dakota9821 True, but I've never had to dive out of the path of a rampaging bot, nor have I had a bunch of them jump on me, slowing me down while the rest of the horde closes the distance. I can deal with the mechanical troops, be they soldiers, butchers, devastators, striders, even Hulks and Tanks. Bugs are another matter entirely because while the bots primarily utilise firearms, this means they're usually a comfortable distance away to utilise tactics and whatnot. Even the butchers and tanks can easily be outpaced. Comparatively, every bug in the world wishes to crawl directly up your arsehole and personally find myself constantly running away, which makes things far more stressful. Also, 'just kill them before they get close' falls into the same advice category as 'Helldivers 2 is easy, just don't die'.

because it was bugged. no pun intended. bug kills were multiplied by 4 because every person in the squad was given the full amount of kills EACH.

​@@xanider5098I honestly don't believe that statement, sounds more to me like the dev's were salty that their impossible to acheive major orders keep getting beaten, Joel's (if he exists) actions in game are given off some real frustrated DM whose campaign has been derailed energy, wipe the bots of the map, they are back 1 day later 10 times stronger, not a week or a couple of days, the next day, the Menkat line, what an utter waste of time that was, it was taken in a huge bot counter attack within what a day. More likely it was a cover so when they could mess with the counter to only count 1 in 4 kills. I mean if you think about it, even if the counter was broken why ever announce it, community was pretty proud of those 2 billion bugs but now Arrowhead want to try and retroactively take that away with a 'nah actucally' how does that help gamer retention?

@KarlFranz5017 I'm sorry to disagree Karl, you are the Prince and Emperor, but I think it's not so much the community not pulling it's weight as it is the player count just being down, it was only very nearly missed and that's with the counter being reset (allegedly, I'm not really believing a word from the balance team right now), the 'balancing', AI and spawj rate changes had an impact and 20% of the community walked away for the last 2 months, if they revert the changes esp to spawn rates as they said it should pick up
