Nah the black mesa main theme is the crowbar collective main theme, but this is like is hazardous enviroments in hl1 its not the main theme and just part of the ost, being good enough that in the sequel (hopefully) is used as the main theme (a sequel to black mesa has 000000000000000.1% of happening)

What sets this song apart from Hazardous Environments (And Black Mesa from Half Life in general) is how hopeful it sounds. Hazardous Environments felt like Spooky Atmospheric music, while Surface Tension 2 pumps you up and gets you ready for what's coming next. It's a great track, and a worthy successor to Hazardous Environments

To differentiate between the different versions of Surface Tension on my phone, I gave each one a "nickname". Reflecting Freeman's status as barely holding on, fighting a one man war on two fronts, as well as his physical location at the time when this song starts, I re-named this one "Cliffhanger". Found it quite fitting.

I love how the beginning has similar vibes to Hazardous Environments. After all, this is the song that takes it's place in Black Mesa. And with it being such a unique, iconic, and recognizable song that it's become Valve's *theme*, it'd just be rude not to pay homage to it. This song does that very well and I've always loved it for that.

To extract it drag and drop that file over 'vpk. exe' inside 'BlackMesa/bin', you may need two windows to do this. Once extracted a directory called 'bms_sounds_misc_dir' will be created back at 'bms', inside it will be a 'sounds' directory, inside that is 'music', which holds the game's music as WAV files.
