I have watched video until I know it off by heart but still I must be doing something wrong hope community can help .I get as far as the start of the sketching but can only draw vertical and horizontal lines if I turn off drawing assist the boxes disappear so I am left with bird on a blank background any help for this old man would gratfully received

Hey 👋 so make sure to turn off the drawing assist, on the layer only.
