This was a great tutorial! I have a question: When we do the highlights why do we need to clipping mask the primary layer? (This is after alpha lock the duplicated layer)

hey hey by clipping it to the shape you dont adjust the original shape in anyway, so it will always look like what you drew. Rather than just moving a layer above a few pixels and enlarging the item :)

Thank you for this fantastic tutorial! I noticed my monoline brush changes while doing the warp part to make the egg shape, any ideas why? I also noticed when I fill the outside, it's not smooth along my monoline...did my monoline settings change from default possibly?

When you drag the colour in, hold it down and the colour threshold will open. The drag to the right to increase it. This will get closer to the edges 😀
