Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2009) is one of my favourite games of all time... but is that purely nostalgia or does it live up to my expectations?
In this video we are getting the MW2 OG Platinum Trophy on the PS3 where we need to complete the veteran campaign aswell as get 3 stars in every Spec Ops mission SOLO, to help decide if it stays in my top 5 games of all time

Great memories from doing this back in the day. The spec ops mission were super fun, especially the coop missions and Echo Ops with the juggernauts. I remember being really excited to get the plat because the icon was a picture of Ghost being shot and it had the orange and yellow theme to it.

For the Second Echo Mission: I just lay down on the pick up trucks loading area at the spawn. The juggernauts wont push you and you can just throw C4 above the trucks loading area to kill them. Its just a little bit tricky to refill your ammo.

It was a week before Black Ops 1 came out. My buddy and I were absolutely wrecked out of our minds at a LAN party with some of other friends. We'd been both working on getting those Spec Ops missions done. Our other four friends took a break to watch what we were doing when we finally went for it on Armor Piercing. When we finally dropped that last Juggernaut on the oil rig, and the mission completed. And that double trophy popped Star 69 and platinum. The entire house came unglued. We were so fucking happy that night we partied our asses off the rest of the evening until we crashed. Some of the best times of our lives back then.

The Favela juggernaut mission we used the blocking the doorway method. You or your teammate stay in the revive crawl position at a doorway to block their entry. Best COD, with Hans Zimmer addition. I really enjoyed the achievement hunting here.

Just to let you know Joelemz I like your videos of you trying to platinum the games you play. I did get all the achievements done for the Modern Warfare 2 on the Xbox 360 which was a pain to do since I had to do the bastard of hell Spec ops. It's one of the rare times I needed my little brother to help me but we managed to beat it together. Also the last Spec Ops mission was so easy for us since we just used the 50 cal. sniper rifle to take out the Jugs. My least favorite mission is the one where you have to kill 10 Jug with explosives which kicked me and my brothers ass the most, but we managed to beat with a bit of trial and error. One of the best games for the Cod trilogy until it started to go bad. Been watching you since the GTA 3 platinum video and been watching you since you had under 50,000 subs. Keep up the good work.

mw2 was my first, and only platinum. I was 12... the joy and just sheer proudness of myself was incredible.. my last trophy was planting the c4 undetected. the nerves and shaking and concentration running through the snow relying on the heartbeat sensor has stuck with me lol. I'm sure i should've been caught at least 3 times but somehow managed to avoid. hearing the ding when the trophy popped up knowing it was my last was great... but i didnt get the platinum for another few seconds which felt like a lifetime and my dreams came crashing down, then it popped up and i was jumping around screaming. a wild rollercoaster and my first real accomplishment

This is THE Call of Duty for me. The iconic campaign, noobtubes, split screen co-op, defeating juggernauts. Literally, the sound effect when they appear still haunts me to this day. Fantastic game. Back when they put real effort into it, before it was fucked up with microtransactions and endless unlockables. EDIT: after you mentioning about how the campaign feels like a movie, I remembered THE SCORE. Hans Zimmer is a legend.

I ended up doing two controllers by myself for both the MW2 and MW3 spec ops missions. 😂 literally just learning the muscle memory of knowing when to switch and enemy spawns. But classic cod plats are so much fun to get, after BO3 they stopped being fun for me, I did most of them(Bo4 and Vanguard I haven’t completed for the plat) but Cold War was the closest to feeling like classic cod achievements.

Me and my brother loved this game so much we did the High Explosive with only knives. Not as hard as you think, their turn speed is slower than your straff speed so just straff and knife. Only challenge is keeping them separated.

Sprinting and zigzaging while jumping made it so the npcs on veteran difficulty couldn't hit you. It made some veteran story missions and spec ops missions really easy. Kinda of a cheese strat tho.

12:21 I got a very VERY bad checkpoint on the escape. I had to be millisecond perfect to live or I would get killed from the back, the front or some dudes with rocket launchers and there wasn't any cover around either. I don't know how I managed to beat it but I somehow did.

there is another easy and consistent way to clear "high explosive". juggs cant climb threw windows. so you can go into the house on left side of the spawn, spam all explosives at the door and when the juggs are almost arround the corner, climb out again. they will turn arround and walk arround the house. its also easy the refill your ammo because of the ammo box at the spawn. also another thing i found out last night, if you stay close on the ammo box and crouch, the juggs cant hit you. you can easy kill solo juggs with direct hits of the noobtube without getting in danger

love mw2, it's also my favorite cod of all times. I got the platinum a few years ago and I didn't know the Thumper one-shot in the juggernaut's head. This was way more difficult the way I've done it, I remember trying over and over for hours. I also have the MW2 Remastered platinum, but this one is very easy since it's basically "complete the campaign on Veteran".

I remember getting every single star on Spec Ops alone legit alone cause I had no friends to play with. Except for the juggernaut mission. I found a super roundabout way to edit my save file via de OG fat PS3 for it to register that mission as full stars lmao
