When I heard the crunch on that chicken I had chills. Texas is really famous for their fried chicken and chicken Fried steak. Texas has some of the best foods in the world.

You were in my neckofthewoods. The best thing there is the dinner rolls and gizzard & gravy. The rolls are like old fashioned angel biscuit and the biscuits are so fire. One of the best places to get fried chicken. They let you pick out whatever pieces you want.

Re: the place's logo and the fact that they don't deliver anymore. We have a similar situation here in Calgary, a local business called "Chicken On The Way". Initially they had food trucks come to you and make your food on the way (this was in the 60s!), then later they switched to solely bricks-and-mortar but had delivery. They eventually ended delivery, but you can get them on delivery apps. But they retain the name.

Joel That chicken looked so good ! I'm ready to hop a plane and check it out. I prefer bone in chicken, but those spicy tenders looked great. The seasoning you sprinkled on looked good to add more flavor and can't do without hot sauce. I've been eating chicken with whole pickled Jalapeno peppers for 40 years and can't have chicken without peppers lol Another great challenge and you make it through in fine style.

When I eat chicken tenders at Chicken Express I mix serendipity salt and hot sauce into the gravy. When I eat the fried chicken I put serendipity salt on the chicken and mix ketchup and hot sauce together to dip my chicken in. And can't skip the sweet tea.

Chicken Express in Seguin and New Braunfels, TX has the best chicken and always the nicest staff. I absolutely love their mashed potatoes (peppery) and sweet tea!

There is a Chicken Express right down the road from my house. I have been eating there for at least 15 years. I love the fried chicken livers. You have to try them with the Cream Gravy if you haven't had them before. I love everything on their menu. I am stuffed after eating four tenders and two sides. I cannot believe you ate all that.
