I grew up fishing & catching/prepping/cooking mine, I was also so lucky to live in a town at the coast which had great seafood restaurants. I moved & while I still live in a coastal town, there are NO seafood restaurants, it's all highly processed meh so whenever I see Joel's videos I'm wanting to dive through the screen & feast lol

I like the taste but I can't get over the texture of shrimp and I've tried it cooked 10 different ways. Lobster tail is a little like it but I don't mind the tail. I just cannot get over the texture of shrimp, gross. Crab would have to be my ultimate favorite and scallops.

Sole Fish is such an interesting fish. Taste good but I will say it is basically Flounder. Very high in mercury and contaminants as a bottom feeder. Very overfished. Pricey, and normally caught on accident in massive nets. Not tree-hugging, just educating those that have not heard of a Sole Fish before. OMG! LOOK AT ALL THOSE LOBSTER TAILS! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Joel, I love your happy face -- eyes dancing all over the place, great big smile, talking with your mouth full of all that goodness! Oops, sorry. What I thought were lobster tails turned out to be giant shrimp! Still looks scrumptious! I can't pick just one favorite. I wish I could eat that whole platter like Joel. Way to go. That was a HUGE challenge.I love seafood, and everything looked so fresh and good. Alas, I've mostly never been a big eater. For perspective, I couldn't even finish a mixed bowl of one brick of ramen, 15 or so mini wontons, and 3 cups of broth while watching this. I had to save some for later lol. But, if I ever get down that way I will definitely get the smaller seafood sampler. Everything just looks SO delicious. 😋😋😋

scallops and salmon cooked over a fire really get me happy. I love the occasional shrimp/prawn/lobster/crab in something but its not as common for me despite living on an island. I enjoy putting mahi mahi in ramen and soups.

I just ordered seafood for dinner because of watching this. I live in Texas about 20 min from Louisiana border and 50 min from Crystal Beach and 45 min from Houston. We have great seafood and Cajun food here. And I love going to the beach go about 4 - 5 times a year at least. I'm only halfway through this video, hope you eat it all!
