USC offense is exactly what you expect under Lincoln Reilly. The defense has clearly improved, but one offseason isn’t enough for their new defensive coordinator to make that defense a top competitor. Once you get into the thick of the season when offenses are really clicking, you’ll see some Big 10 teams start throwing up more points on them.

As a seminarian, be honest. How many times did you predict Michigan losses last year? Did you predict Michigan would win at Penn State without Harbaugh? Did you predict they would beat Ohio State without Harbaugh? Did you predict they would beat Alabama? Did you predict they’d beat Washington by 21? To be clear, I think Michigan has a shot to beat USC if and only if their defense gets at least one TO with a short field and if they stay within 10 points at half. And those criteria are based solely on what were seen. We’ve not seen Orji start a game or settle into the offense. A few long, sustained, pound the rock and run the clock drives by Michigan that end in points……could set the agenda for the game. Put a gun to my head, though, and I’d say USC 34, Michigan 23.

Michigan owned the Refs in last years Championship. Holds were NOT called, the internet proved that. So, it seems like it could be close.

@@kevinpowers2959 Howdy Kevin, While I currently live in Oregon; Seattle news had tons of this after the game. Pics/videos of the no call holds by Michigan.

@@JoshuaMollette Howdy Joshua, Seattle media had tons of it after the game with videos and pics from fans showing the holds that were not called. No one can trust the lying national media. Everyone else just says sour grapes, but the pics/videos don't lie. They say it balances out in the long run. Watch the Refs closely this Saturday.

As a Michigan fan, they don't stand a chance against USC. Michigan won't be able to score. 24-10.

If Michigan gets blown out (likely), it will be the start of a downward cycle to mediocrity. I don’t think the coaching staff can get the job done e. It is a rebuilding team and nowhere close being competitive with the upper tier of the conference. 7-5 or 6-6 is about where this team is.

10 points sounds like scoring.

SC home it's 36-10 but at Michigan it's a toss up . Michigan lot of trick plays and look for block punt.

Big House isn’t enough to turn 26 points into a toss up. It doesn’t trap sound in so crowd isn’t too big a factor.

Florida has had a 10 win season with Muschamp, McElwain, and Mullens after Meyer left. The potential is there. UF is still a top 20 winning program in CFB history.

Sometimes i think these football folks give a team more credit so when they lose, the other team looks even better. Michigan defense is fine but their offense isn't going to keep up with USC's. They just haven't shown it this season. Their line is great. Their QB's aren't dynamic. If Alex O can't throw the ball, i don't see Michigan staying in this game. I think USC might put up Texas numbers against Michigan.
