Joell Ortiz is extremely underrated. He's a true lyricist who's honest and he's one of the most creative rappers in the game today. He's had a buzz in NYC for years with his mixtapes and he often reps a lot of neighborhoods that have been overlooked in most rap from NY.

Ebro right about the lyrical rappers that cant make music , thats why drake winning cuz he picks good beats and can flow on them and kick lyrics , wish a lot of lyrical rappers had a better ear for beats

Not only on beats but they dont have a vision in their music to be creative its also on the mixing engineer to add special effects, they just think spit 16 bars hook but its more than that

I can't listen to anyone hating on a dude who just wants to rap. I'm a Joell fan because of the immense respect he has for the rhyme. His story is in the music, let him rap and let the rhymes speak. If you're hooked you can find his story in his rhymes, he dropped !llmind for that purpose
