I'm afraid not Anita....We certainly don't wish for trials and we are not to.....but they come our way nonetheless.... Psalm 34:19 says..."That many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord comes to the rescue each time....Rescue means that we are already in trouble.....yet the Lord doesn't spare us? He wants us to grow in holiness by trusting in him when times are hard...that's where he does his transforming work to change us into his son's likeness.Thats his will for his people He still blesses us in this life for sure....but we don't deserve anything,we are all sinners and all short of his glory. This is not a guilt trip Jesus took our judgement to the cross but we must partner with him in this life on the Calvary road. Life is warfare against old sins....and our flesh with it's never quenching appetites Since Christ has suffered in His body, we must be ready to suffer also. Suffering puts an end to sin. 1 Peter 4:1 n no way promise "Sunshine and roses" this side of eternity.... Be careful with ⬆️ this man....he rarely or never teaches about sin and repentance... God isn’t here to serve you and make your life great - you were created for His glory. Living in God’s abundance means spiritual abundance, NOT necessarily having job security, a promotion, or a great family. In fact, I selected this one because I felt I needed to practice the specific message it had to offer. You carry the same name as a fellow I was having problems with in my business and I thought it was he who responded here. Four minutes apart, my George Turner finally responded to my multiple "stress" requests (over the past month that he caused) via text. I received Joel's message to "put it in Gods hands", agreed to do so, and this experience happened immediately after I affirmed I would. I thought you were the same George. Now I am no religious zealot or extremist. In fact, a non-believer for a long time, and not one who usually posts on any websites. But since I decided to put my faith in a higher power, strange experiences like these have been coming - and I am not sure if coincidences like this are testament that there really is a God or a higher power available for the asking. Either way, the profound experience is something I will never forget and thought I'd share it with you.
