So sad. I'm 77 and NW is the best band I've ever heard/seen, and yet still so unknown in much of the U.S.

Jukka knew what he was doing when he wanted Kai to take over his role as the drummer for Nightwish. Kai is a beast (as is Jukka!).

That is a real musician. Able to appreciate good songwriting, playing and singing, even if it is not the style of music he would play in/listen to.

One interesting thing about this song is that it's from year 1998 and neither of the singers here were in the band at that time and the original drummer was Jukka Nevalainen instead of Kai Hahto in this video.

Kai's performance in this song (and many others) defines why I am totally and utterly daffled by how drummers are able to do what they do. Kai is ridiculously good

And it’s still babycakes compared to some of his other work (like in wintersun) he is insane and the endurance is wicked.

This one is GOOD! Not so often played. But it actually is impressive. And it shows Kai. Kai is something special. I am not sure I ever have seen a drummer that radiates power like he do. He is like a big animal, maybe a bear. That just gives what he got on those poor drums.

What I like about this pick for him is it shows off Kai's drumming! You can tell he is impressed and his facial expressions show that! I am kinda wondering to myself though that if this was the first song you ever heard from Nightwish what you would think? He has no idea of the great catalog of songs that they possess! Nothing wrong with the song but you know what I mean. I just want to tie him up and have him listen to like twenty songs! haha Love your stuff Joel! Do you know Tank the other roadie guy? You two would be fun to watch together!

I concur!! Tgis is also why I love watching Joel's videos. He always picks the best song that fits his guest as a Nightwish introduction.

Oh yes. I go wild over Tribal. It's superb master musicianship throughout the entire piece. Kai has to be the best drummer on earth. Tribal showcases him so well too. @@damienmaynard8892

Love his comment "witch one?" For me Marco was the best vocalist in the band and the ladies comes tied second. There is some real great Tarot vids out there on the tube 😉

I liked description of the two "Niggtiwish" drummers (description by one person): Kai is like a hydraulic press, but Juka is like three savages sitting around the fire in the jungles.

Thanks for showing Nightwish to Ron. I don't know if there's a better drumming performance out there for Nightwish with Kai, at least one that's of reasonable length for a first timer.

On the latest album there is a song called Tribal - the drumming is insane on that one, every limb is doing a different rhythm at the same time. There is a drum clinique of that song but also some great live footage of the song. Highly recommend it if you have another drummer react to Nightwish.

They were super fortunate to be blessed with both Jukka and Kai…two phenomenal drummers who melded so perfectly with this phenomenal band. Kai in Beast Mode on the drum kit ..again👍in this one🤘🤘

Hey Joel, I really enjoyed Ron's reaction to this performance. Personally, it is not one of my favorite Nightwish songs, but it sure as hell shows off Kai Hahto's insane drumming skills. Thank you for continuing to introduce your friends and acquaintances to Nightwish.

Looks like another great guest, Joel, looking forward to the series! As much as I love Nightwish, this song has always been on the back burner for me and not one I would normally show to someone that I'm trying to introduce to the band.....however, coming from a drumming perspective....well done!!

You two should even listen to Dire Straits song Dire Straits - Sultans Of Swing (Alchemy Live) if you don't seen it before. Mark Knopfler on the guitar and the drummer is killing it.

You got to try and get a little more out of him. More of his thoughts on more aspects of the performance before quickly moving on after he’s barely said anything other than, “yeah it was good.”
