As to the "missing pages", that particular issue ran a reprint from the 70s Wein/Wrightson run that took up most of the issue; only the opening and epilogue were original pages. I'm guessing the story was already printed in either Volumes 1 or 2, and so they left off printing it again for this volume.

Aaah... Okay, I understand now. Many thanks for the clarification. Maybe I was a little harsh on the publishers, then. Still... they could have put in a note or something, explaining what they were doing. I feel like the Marvel collection editions I've read have been much better about these editorial notes than the DC editions.

😂 When I talk about the early 1980s, I'm tempted to say "it was before my time", but then I think, "wait, can I say that if it was after I was born?"

I just put an exert on my community page from the book of Japanese legends , I’m reading that compares one of the stories to Robin Hood. I also mentioned two of my favorite legends that feature my favorite Japanese character. Benki who may have heard as he’s has bin in video games as well a various enemies I’m sure being in Japan for a while. You’ve probably heard of him as he’s tied with the legendary samurai Yoshi Mitsu.

I think swamp thing like most dc hero’s can go where there needed or where ever the writer sends him and one of your best pals is John Constantine you can pretty much go anywhere

During the brief window when I was actively collecting comics (93-94), I didn't see the Swamp Thing in mainstream continuity. But I think that this has changed since then.

@@JoelSwagman wouldn’t know I read random comics and marvel and dc characters I read are not always the most popular. I’ve read stuff like moonknight and hawk and dove .

Yes, perhaps. Although I've not had a lot of luck so far in directing her interests to stuff. Some stuff she likes, and some stuff she doesn't like, and my recommendations don't seem to count for too much.

Also speaking of Robin Hood, you might look up the cartoon rocket Robin Hood as you can watch episodes of it here on KZbin for free might be good thing to watch with your daughter as it’s an all age cartoon like Sherlock Holmes at twice second century this case I believe rocket Robin Hood is it a sen of the original Robin Hood or Sherlock Holmes the 22nd century it was Sherlock Holmes and he was preserved it honey, and they brought him back to what was the present time those shows to watch back to back
