32:20 Honestly, I discovered Monica Geldart (literally!!) YESTERDAY and binge watched her all day and sent some videos over to MY (German) MUM though she's nothing like that (and probably didn't understand half of it since her English is not up to scratch)...

also, about Monica_Geldart, again 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 I love her skits of a school receptionist or Dotty the lunch lady or whoever-really, too --- although I have nothing to compare that to, because in Germany I have never experienced anything similar... Still it seems so realistic to me, and her facial expressions and tones of voice are THE BEST ❤️
@geab.21828 ай бұрын
also, more towards the beginning of the video you reminded me of my newly discovered skitty witty Monica already, when you used the word literally... (Keegan had literally given you a heart attack, before you changed it to figuratively...) Monica in her role as an older school student used this word a LOT and then YOU said it and then towards the end of the video you literally talked about Monica herself... How cool is that❔
@kelly18277 ай бұрын
If you like Monica's work, you'd probably like Laura Ramosa too. She does similar skits AND she sometimes does imitations of her German mom and Italian dad 😊

I love HelloFresh!!! It's a great way to prepare your food for even a single person. You just refrigerant the leftovers, and it's great. The only problem is that it costs a great deal more to pay for the service, so when or if you aren't able to have excess money, it'll be difficult to afford.

Joel you just crack me up. Here in New England we mostly speak the English language correctly (well it's American, so it may not be correct to you)! However, here in Massachusetts we do occasionally have to put up with what's called "a Boston Accent". More later about that. I try to remember that what's past is past and the future is always unknown. There's a wonderful book by Raam Daas called "Be Here Now". Enjoy and thanks for sharing.

Loved your jump when Keegan was stalking in the doorway. As a Canadian and someone who is very into words it irks me when I hear people say “I could care less”. They are usually the same people who say “for all intensive purposes.” There are so many expressions that get butchered that at times I wonder if these people do it on purpose or if it really is what they think the expression is. Liked this q&a it was fun. See you in the next vlog.

@markwaltz27688 ай бұрын
Day to day life can be so hectic and crazy at times so the preference for a table versus a seat at the bar, is that you want a little more privacy and quiet without worry that someone at the bar next to you is going to pull you into their conversationor dip into your own personal space or conversation.
@Kim-4278 ай бұрын
An American here! Also going out for us can be a good time it’s not necessarily about being in a hurry to eat. As you said it’s about being comfortable and I like privacy as well. Sitting at the bar is kind of out in the open less privacy. Sometimes you may have someone standing behind you or over you. And another thing that Joel may not understand is the tipping aspect. You can’t just sit at the bar. The bar is where the money can be made and it’s really for drinking not eating per se. You sit at the bar you should be drinking and being served right away and an expectation of tipping on every drink so…. Lol

Berlin has wonderful antique shops, restaurants and homemade ice cream shops. Please consider visiting us especially in the summer so you can enjoy the beaches. Tax free shopping at the outlets in Delaware is great to visit also.

Hi Joel. Regarding your antique book that you mentioned is bubble wrapped in a closet. You should remove it from the bubble wrap. The bubble wrap creates a microclimate around the book that can degrade it quicker. The best thing for a rare book is for it to be in a stable climate (temperature and humidity). I'm a curator and handle rare books.

I got veneers put on (gosh, 20 years ago already!) and it was not a good experience. But they are actually really nice... it was just such a shock. I felt like I had big ol' rabbit buck teeth! My natural teeth in the front had been rounded and chipped a bit, so the difference to me was shocking. Took a while and now they just seem normal. Also, they didn't tell me they would be grinding my teeth to little nubs... halfway through the procedure I asked if I could use the toilet and I naturally looked at my teeth... I broke down crying, had a panic attack, and they had to unlock the bathroom and get me out. One fell off a few years ago and it was trauma all over again! 😂 You only get one set of teeth!
