Try fucking gardening in fucking Colorado at 8000 feet. It took 20 years of trial and error, but I'm now doing the previously unimaginable: Growing 1 pound slicing tomatoes without a fucking greenhouse. Love you Joe, and very much envious of your fucking growing season there! PS banana peels around plants will fucking stop cunty aphids.

I also can’t grow basil. Dunno what I did. Killed basil twice and can’t grow dill either. My mint, parsley and oregano are thriving. My chives from last year survived the all year round shite weather in Ireland, so hoping the rest will also survive this winter. Might even get them a light.

I am also very interested in a compost bin. The insulated compost is intriguing

@@PucaFlea This is the first year I had a bumper basil crop. They only had morning sun and I sprayed them with a baking soda/water mix to keep the "fun guys" away. I also grew some under my tomatoes, which I prune up from the bottom as they produce fruit, so they did get dappled sun all day. Those did great as well. Good luck.
