@@joenandamalie I really want to travel to Madeira and the Azores. I've been learning about Portugal for several years now. A good friend retired to Tomar too, so BTW her and your videos and a few others I've been learning so much. I will get your guide as soon as I'm heading your way. I love you all so much!!! Mahalo 🌺 thank you in Hawaiian. Your humor, honesty, courage, talents, etc etc etc are so wonderful. Thank you again for sharing your lives with us! Tchau ✨

One of the best things about social media or KZbin is watching the transition of individuals as they grow. How priorities change, how the mind and body matures with experience and how the choices of the past leads to the present unfolding moment. Truly fascinating! So if you will allow me to share the wisdom of being older and more experienced :) you have entered the building of roots phase, creating a place called home and the desire to be free and unattached is no longer the driving force...now replaced with a need to nurture and help others grow...normally this would be children, only community and gardens will fill this need to be responsible. Only don't let my words worry you because before you know it 18 years will pass and you'll be ready to shake things up and begin the adventure again. Just make sure you take care of your future self by eating well, moving well and being well. Otherwise the next big adventure phase will be filled with health related priorities. So make food your medicine or medicine will become your food. Thank you so much for sharing and for what it's worth...I think parenthood would bring you great joy.

Really enjoyed this video. I came back from my fourth visit to Madeira last week. I miss it already! People ask me why I love the place so much, and my last visit finally hit it home with me. The Madeira people are great, the island is incredible, the hikes are just one incredible view after another. The food is great, the beer, poncha, rum are brilliant…..but I realised as soon as I came home last week….its the speed of life and how peaceful I feel when I’m there. It’s such an amazing thing to experience in the hectic world we live in. On the day I was to fly out I genuinely contemplated not going to the airport and would just figure out how to live there. It’s definitely something I’m trying to figure out. You are both living what has become my dream. I’m glad Madeira has had such a profound effect on you both and look forward to seeing what the future brings.

Hey Kev! Thanks for your insights. I know exactly what you mean. I hope you are able to pursue your dream of living here one day. Honestly it's a good youtube channel you could make simply by moving to a new place without having the means to actually do it, haha. :) Big hugs

Exactly what I feel as well coming to this island. Like you my last time was my fourth time in Madeira, which already is more than 2 month ago npw and with every day I don't forget it more, I miss it more! Isn't it crazy? At me it was in plans to live there constantly within the next 4-5 years, but I think I'll be too impatient, it must happen before😅

@@oliaye I wish you luck in getting to live in Madeira in 5 years….or less 😏 Until I figure out how I’m going to manage it, my couple of trips a year will need to suffice. Going back at the end of December to bring in the new year and enjoy the celebrations. Think it will be a positive start to a year 😁

You 2 are so cute and amazing. Love your new home and how you have matured spiritually. I am close to twice your age and only began understanding what is really important in life in the last 10 years. But this is a journey that never ends. We visit Madeira often and have been thinking of moving there. During our visits we saw you a few times but never had the nerve to approach you. Maybe next time😃. Enjoy your life❤🧡💛

Love you both so much! I live on Maui and many times I feel very isolated but I travel and this helps. I'm retired now and travel 3 months out of the year, just returned after being away 1-1/2 months and it's great to be back. I am considering being a retired nomad though, keeping home based at one of my adult children in Washington state..... I'm going to Europe first time soon..…will be there for my 69th birthday 🎉 I'm mostly raw vegan too about 80% raw fresh uncooked food....so easy living on Maui, Hawaii. I love the lifestyle you're living and learning about. Many Blessings and much Love ❤ 🙏 from me from Hawaii. Spreading Aloha around the world 🌍 there is a great song about this. I will share the link next ❤

“No longer about earning a shit ton of money, is more about living life to the fullest”. Reaching the second part of the sentence it’s very difficult… or you are the type of person that has the right mindset and has the ability to disconnect from the concerns about your future (that obviously relates to the financial side of things)… or you are not from Portugal and you are able to achieve the “shit ton of money” that will get you to the “enjoy to the fullest” part. I hope to reach the second part of the sentence ✌️ Keep delivering such incredible and interesting videos 💙

how did you come by such affluence ....did you earn it?.....because when I hear you talk about the slow pace of life it seems as if you really don't equate a life style generationally paced to that place that works ...and hard to make generations of success and has created the landscape that you were drawn to.....L hope you are becoming more open to what you call trickling down.....L live in a very special place which has become rapidly different by newcomers drawn to the beauty....and not understanding what it took to be what they think they see, unable to truly become of our place and , attempting to bring what they left and, frankly try unsuccessfully impose on this....we used to say you cant eat the beauty of our place.....but eating is impossible without that beauty.....translated... that means respect for what the environment is capable of at a minimum of withstanding....better and ultimately to be nourished by ones presence.....and thinking in centuries not even generations.....the influence of your affluence is so impactful....and if you get bored after a few years and move on.....your vanity project is there, what was never again please do right

changing is part of life and they have grown while it sounds like you have not. They don't owe you anything. I appreciated how deep they went. It was real. You're trying to control their content.
@joenandamalie4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I guess, we are too serious sometimes, but we just talk about what takes up space in our lives these days, and as we are changing in a lot of different ways, we feel that our videos should also portray that. We used to be all food, drinks, travel, nice hotels and "living the good life", but this is now an old chapter. We want to focus on living life based on a more healthy approach and God knows, we need that also, given how unhealthy we have been for so long 😂. Thanks for your kind words and support! Big hug!
