I know this format is atypical for this channel. Bear with my novice interviewing skills. I made this video for myself because I am a fan of Jörg. I hope you can see why he is so much fun to work with!

I'm a small business manufacturer, I'm financially struggling with a Patent process I filled over 2 years ago... my lawyers are not struggling 🙄 I could have used your advice on patents a couple years ago.

Joerg I've watched you since I was a little kid. You cultivated my interests in engineering and in Germany. In many ways you're like a father to me, I wish you all the best, when I'm next in Germany I'll buy you a few beers 👍

Already miss the robots. You need to get a team of KZbinrs to all push together on this and make multiple breakthroughs. Then the money will flow back. Love the content glad you're still posting.

Also, this was a remarkably insightful interview, and Jorge is just as astute and dynamic of a personality as I had guessed. I like him even better now that I can see more sides of him that what he can show off on his KZbin videos. Matt did an excellent job here, asking relevant questions throughout, which made the entire interview very interesting. Well done. I quite enjoy my Cobra Adder btw...hoping to get more of Jorge’s creations in the future. I’d LOVE to see his actual pistol sized repeating design come to fruition as a marketable device. I think that will revolutionize using bows as a self defense option, even more so than his current designs. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for TALKING ABOUT YOUR FEATURES!!! Seriously though, that's a great interview. Thanks Joerg for telling us about yourself and continue to share all your incredible inventions with us. I love your content and I love GoGun.

Great interview. I love the depth that Jörge has which we dont see on most of his videos. About the ethical concerns, a brick can be used as a weapon and be quite devastating. An iron bar was recently used to attack farmers in South Africa and seriously injure them. The dilemma is not the weapon but rather people who can weaponise nearly anything. Even a ball point pen. Keep up the great effort. And thank you for doing the interview. It was most interesting.

i think a lot, boils down to joergs enthusiasm, its contagious, an incredibly likeable chap, whos freely shares his massive knowledge and brought forth some of the best designs and tech, the last significant advancements in the last 2,000 years being, compound technology, fiberglass limbs, self cocking crossbow barnett commando and the chinese repeatin crossbow.

The law is made to be tiptoed around, the only defence one has will ever be oneself, become good at what you wanna do; pretty powerful message in there. Thanks for this little tidbit of slice of life.

Kind of sad to not hear about the 1000J air gun, which really hooked me on the channel. 😛 Especially since it was, for me at least, the first time I saw something so powerful built so cheaply. Especially for Germany, that was something I didn't even think was possible at the time.

Everyone should consider this: How much safer have their cars and the airplanes and busses they use become, since they were introduced to the world? Generation 1 reactors like Chernobyl's are not in production any longer. There are tons of safeties on safety's safeties in a Generation 4. Also Molten Salt Reactors and the Small Modular Reactors are especially interesting.

Great interview! For me it was engaging from the get-go. The reference to Amiga took me back to those nights of ‘Marble Madness’. :^)) I admire Joerg’s perseverence and creative energy. And of course that great sense of humor. I agree with his opinion regarding patents. Esp for small entrepreneurs. You can spend valuable time, energy and money on what you (think) may protect your IP. But you might be better served to put all of that into getting product to market. Then maintaining and growing that market leading position. I particularly enjoyed the video where the girl tried out several weapons. And… Joerg’s recent video in German and English about getting prepared for this winter was sobering and true. If I’m ever in Germany, I hope to visit his place in the woods, try a few weapons myself, and tip a few Kostritz blacks. Cheers and continued success on the channel.

I appreciate the thought man and I like Jorg, he is an awesome builder and a skilled inventor they can see many things in a project many people cannot until it's finished. The problem I have is that you should have did this on my secondary channel and this makes me feel like Megabots is truly dead as a giant robot channel. You guys did not listen to the crowd and squandered the money. You put on a staged fight after saying you knew the dangers and went bankrupt and then had to sell America's pride, the first giant robot designed for combat. You should have designed an obstacle course and put them head to head that way. Instead the project fell apart and you ruined giant robots with a stigma. I have held my tongue for a long time but seeing this disappoints me. As I said before you're both brilliant inventors and builders in your own trades but one of you gave up. One of you didn't have the guts to continue. I have been in a spot with the company that me and my father own. We have been in one of the biggest holes we have ever been in with the death of my grandfather and the greediness of his wife and their family. They kept everything and we had to build the nursery back from nothing. I didn't sell my equipment, I put it to work. When you found out fighting wasn't going to work you should have went ahead and design that thing for manufacturing. You had a lot of the attachments already designed you just did not see the innovation, you are so caught up with TV glitz and glamor that you ignored the utility of what you had. Now some rich guy has no idea what he has and he's going to take it to shows when you could have stripped some parts off of that and made that a functional work but that could have surpassed a lot of our equipment nowadays. Something truly from science fiction, the world's first fully functional power loader.

MegaBots had no utility outside of entertainment. The business model did not work. I don’t have any giant robots to make content with, so this channel will just be whatever I find cool at the moment.

@@GoGunCo If it helps, I view MegaBots as an inspiring moonshot. Success or failure, you guys tried something insane because you were passionate about it and took it as far as it could possibly have gone. I have the poster framed in a red and white matte with a blue metal border right outside my home office to remind me that sometimes you have to just go for something and not get caught up in worrying about success. I am gutted that things didn't work out long term but I'm glad you guys tried anyway.
