I met Don in Bisbee, AZ in 1992-93 where he was a firefighter/EMT. I was a probation officer and we had probationers doing community work service at the fire department and that's where I met him. He was a beast but very cool.

To me he is a genuine example of a proper Chad. Polite, yet doesn't have to be because he can practically whoop your ass for the same result AND then some without breaking a sweat. And it's not even a sort of "hostile" politeness either where it's masqueraded intent behind candied words.. he's just the type of guy you WANT to return the politeness to because he seems just genuinely pleasant. Even in his prime fighting age he still had this aura of kindness and respect and you could get this verified by each interview after the fights where he showed respect to opponents. He is what any man should aspire to become.. though preferably with less pain.
