@@Jordan-lr4bi Jon has a pretty loyal fan base, and you should look into some of the things Tyson said to women in his early career. Not a high point for him let alone the rape charge. Point being both are amazing fighters, both were amazing at a very young age, and both's biggest issues aren't with their in ring performance, but with themselves. You don't have to like Jon, I don't think I like him as a person, but as a fighter he's unstoppable.

He calls himself a christian man, yet when he had the accident the only person he is thinking about is himself. He didn't think about the person he hit, he didn't think about his family, or his fans, all he thought about was himself. If you listen carefully he keeps bringing it back to him. And Joe is trying to get him to talk about the victim but everytime he brings up the victim he makes it about me, me, me, me. That's very revealing. Jon Jones says the following: 10:42 "it was a really big hit but *I* was fine" "I realize my bowl is in the car and I search the car" "If i can't find that bowl, that's going to get *ME* in trouble" Joe asks him did you look to the other person in the car: 11:37 "*I* had not clue it was a woman, *I* had no clue that it was a pregnant woman" Then he explains how he didn't have much sleep, I this I that. 12:40 Joe now asks "Why didn't you look at the other car?": "It all happened so fast...I knew *I* smelled like alcohol. I just felt like if the police came by it would be a bad situation for *me*" (again thinking of himself) "I just thought the person I hit had to be okay because *I* was okay because the collision wasn't that hard" (see right there he is again thinking of himself, if I am okay than everyone else should be okay, but also contradicts his initial statement of "It was a really big hit") Then he talks, and I paraphrase, how everyone is making a bigger deal than what it really was and how he did it intentionally. Pretty much not taking full responsibility. Joe right away cuts him off and says "But you didn't even look": 13:29 "No I didn't even look" Joe: "wow" "But *I* didn't go back for cash" (He reacts by trying to defend himself, but quickly realizes oh shit, that's not what I should have said, so he retracts that by saying it doesn't matter what he did was bad, but then tries to justify it by saying the following) "I was in a bad point in my life taking everything for granted" (This is probably the most honest of his statements even if it was a defense mechanism.) Joe teaches him a valuable lesson at 17:55 about not having to rationalize your behavior. It's a defensive road. What I got from this podcast is that Jones thinks he is won it's battle with his demons when to me, this is clearly just the beginning because he hasn't fully grown up yet. From him talking about drinking again, because he now knows he can handle not drinking. That's the ego talking. Throughout this podcast there is a lot of ego talking. Hubris. He's ego is part of what makes him great but it's also what can lead to his downfall. I like Jones and wish him the best but to me it is obvious he is still battling those demons that are part of the legion aka the ego.

even though he was 6"4 he was pretty lean so only weighed 225. A lot of power lifters weigh 225+ at sub 5ft10. 600 deadlift/500 squat at 225 pounds will always take at least 24 months of strength training if done naturally.
@epic10536 жыл бұрын
You sound like someone who has maybe lifted for a year and possibly deadlifts around 405, but don't realise how much more difficult the grind is when your deadlift goes up, 550 deadlift to 600 a big grind. 405 isn't even half way to 600 it's like 30% of the way there. A 315 deadlift at 225 is literally nothing that wouldn't be a starting point at all. Someone with who weighs 225 should be able to dead lift that as soon as they learn decent dead-lifting technique. The problem is the grind from 500-600 is extremely difficult and long, some people will never dead lift 600 naturally. It took omarisuf 5 years of training to hit it, most real natural fitness youtuber only deadlift around 600, some such as scott herman and kinobody can't. Can you upload proof of you deadlift because i'd love to see your 550 dead lift if someone with poor genetics can achieve it in such little time? 24 months to achieve a 600 deadlift naturally is extremely fast, and uncommon. The only people who have a chance to hit 600 faster then this are people with extremely good leverages for the deadlift (unusually long arms and a short torso) or 250+ pound people. edit: I was arguing with someone who deleted their comments, the main thing I was arguing with was that they thought a two years to achieve a 600 dead-lift was slow and can be done significantly faster.

It's clear Jones is too full of his own shit to be taken seriously. When Joe repeatedly asked him "you didn't go check on the other person in that accident?" and he kept saying he didn't want to get caught because it would make him look bad? Then when he said he was trippin because he didn't know if the woman would have a miscarriage not for HER safety or the baby's safety, but because he would charged with murder? That's some OJ Simpson next level sociopath shit! Jon Jones is the type of guy who could be caught ballsdeep with another woman, and he tells his wife, "you know, I was really feeling centred and my shakras were aligned, so I decided to just act upon the moment and achieve my inner waterfall.." .. The guy is great inside the cage, but as a human he's not even a piece of shit, he's got some severe lack of ownership over his actions and decisions borderline sociopath Dr. Drew would have a field day with this guy.

People are acting like he isnt basically the greatest fighter of our time...his only lost came from practically beating a dude to death.

Which is dumb...a heel kick or any wheel kick is just as or more dangerous than a 12 to 6 elbow. On top of that you get get more power from a 3 to 6 and its easier to throw from a number of angles

Conrad Schleicher this is really disappointing to watch this in 2019. What a bummer

Nicholas Mathews No I don’t agree with that. You have to understand this guy was on top of his world and still is, that fucks with your mind. Constantly hearing how great you are makes you feel like you can’t do nothing wrong. But these guys are human too and make mistakes. I believe that he’s learnin from it and try to be a better person not only for himself but also for the people around him.

Not really. He had one questionable test, that USADA said wasnt performance enhancing, and thats it. The "picogram" meme is a meme, but in reality, USADA has said its all the same offense, stemming from the same test that still isnt performance enhancing. so... not really, not.

Jo should be his mentor. He doesn’t have real people around him. He seems like a vulnerable young man who has got the world on his shoulders and has a certain amount of low self esteem
@shanemcquillan23334 жыл бұрын
What sucks about your comment is your most likely an average person with little to no real world experiences making 14$ an hour and you’re playing psychologist based off a script on a podcast of someone you could never in a trillion lifetimes relate to
@norwegiannignog24704 жыл бұрын
@@shanemcquillan2333 It seems you're bothered by people being real and talking about self esteem. Do you have low self esteem too, along with the steroid user? Its 2020 folks, leave the sensitive "man" bullshit behind and lets talk about it.

If you think jon jones has low self esteem I would question every single thing you believe down to the most minute thing
@joeking56794 жыл бұрын
@Clutch7 if jon jones has low self esteem then the people saying he does have even lower self esteem. as in, if confidence and ego are not markers for healthy self esteem, then what is? if he is doing bad then the haters are likely doing even worse
@joeking56794 жыл бұрын
@Clutch7but that's between him and himself. he doesn't let anyone punk him, which seems to be a good basis for a definition of self esteem for most people. people with low self esteem generally tend to let others punk them. so more articulate terminology is needed here.

I'll admit I was quite upset with Jon Jones and the letdown that came with what happened at UFC 200. This was absolute perfect timing for him to go public and speak on that disappointment, as well as some of the other incidents and/or phases he's gone through as a human being. This podcast, and the way he spoke so openly, has changed my opinion of this guy as a man rather than just a fighter. For the first time I see Jon as a decent, well meaning guy with good intentions that simply made some silly decisions along a path full of fame, fortune and unimaginable pressure. I realize that perhaps I was too hasty and harsh in my judgement and I'll will no doubt be rooting for him in the future. What a great "get" on the podcast...powerful Joe Rogan and powerful Jon Jones! That was awesome!
