I was actually looking to figure out how to turn it on for the first time, as I let my emersion Cuisinart blender sit up for several years without ever using it, plus I don't have the instructions. Well, after watching you while toying around with it I figured out that you have to engage the unlock button located at the base of the blender in order for power speed buttons to activate. Thanks for all the great ideas for usage because I would have used it a lot sooner, as I only knew about using it for making homemade soups which I never got around to. 👍👍

I'm looking for a mini immersion blender as I need to puree our cat food since she is getting older. The reason why it needs to be smaller is because there wouldn't be enough food from the can for a normal sized blender to work correctly. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for something that will achieve the same outcome? (Ps. The can must be used within 3 days, so adding more cans will be a waste) @JoesPhenomenal

I was trying to research those for you... it seems like all the tiny ones are more suiting to just doing milk frothing and stuff like that. If you added more cans, could you keep the leftover in sealed tupperware in the refrigerator?

I have a mid range Bamix, comes with 4 very little attachments, one's a flat disk which actually is for whipping, others are for chopping, creaming, and cutting meat and fiberous veggies, and it even slots into a grinder with larger blades which can chop herbs and grind spices and coffee beans.

That sounds pretty awesome! Gonna have to take a look at those. Thanks, Sarfaraz!

I was looking at videos a week ago trying to convince myself the Bosch is the best because it had a vacuum extension, but I saw a comment about the Bamix. I went into research mode to find flaws and reply he's not right... One day later I was ordering a Bamix, although it was 2-3 times the price i was willing to pay for the Bosch. It just looks so good and it performs better than my 1000W kitchen robot, which i already donated to get rid of it. My life changed in few days, i now rediscovered the joy of making smoothies and I can finally do cream soups. But what really convinced me was the pesto demo by Jamie Oliver, this bulky ones couldn't do it at a small scale since i think they don't fit a small jar.

a year late but...I had a thunderstick blender for years that came apart, it finally broke and I could NOT find it any more to replace it. I finally found a Baymix brand and this one, whilst it does not come apart, has three 'blades' with it. one for chopping (more like the shape of the blades in a regular processor but smaller) and two discs one for whipping and one for beating I also brought a meat blade (like the sharp one on your blender) you can also get grinders and a 'processor' attachment but these have shot up in price and I'm not totally convinced they are needed (but I guess handy to have if you have spare cash) the baymix has two speeds but with the right disc on it can whip cold milk into a foam to use as a dessert or to top coffee or as a whipped cream alternative.

Joe, I want to blend my morning hot Matcha with oat milk, and also I want to blend/mix my hydration powders into water. I’m thinking of getting the Cuisinart cordless hand blender. Do you think the 2.3” width of the blender will be too large for this?
@JoesPhenomenal Жыл бұрын
I think it depends on how much you are planning to drink. As long as you can get the head of the immersion blender submerged, it should be fine though, so I would think anything over maybe a cup and a half should be pretty easy.. otherwise, you can just run it on low speed if it has variable speed control on it.
@JoesPhenomenal Жыл бұрын
Will have to measure that and get back to ya.
@JoesPhenomenal Жыл бұрын
OK... The Cuisinart head is about 1 1/4 deep and 2 1/2 wide. If you put thta down into something, it's going to push that liquid up anyway as it displaces it, so not too bad.
@JoesPhenomenal Жыл бұрын
I almost bought that evolution one. I was gonna, but ended ip getting that Ninja 2 in 1 thing instead. If you plan to use it on a regular basis, I'd buy the cordless. Not having that in the way is pretty cool. Not sure how long the charge lasts on those though.
@kosmosbjm Жыл бұрын
@@JoesPhenomenal Everything has changed. It turns out that a hand blender cannot froth oat milk at all, so I can only use a big blender for other tasks. I had no idea, but I tried it and it was a bust, so the KitchenAid may be going back. I’m now looking for a battery operated frother, no longer a hand blender.

Probably... I wouldn't recomment it though. The blade has a shrowd over it, but I always worry that it might catch somehow, and then you'd have glass shards flying around.

Can you make a green smoothie with a hand blender?
@JoesPhenomenal Жыл бұрын
You can, but it suppose it depends on the texture that you want to get out of it. Immersion blenders make everything really smooth and creamy. Not always the best for everything.

It’s better a cordless or corded ?
@JoesPhenomenal Жыл бұрын
This one has a cord on it, but if I replaced it, I would go cordless. A little less powerful, but the cord can get in the way quite a bit.... Might not be as big of a deal to other people though... With the cordless, you always have remember to charge it.

I live on the wild side. 😉. But seriously, that Cuisinart model can't be turned on unless you're holding the power button in and the buttons sit flush so it's a lot harder to accidentally turn it on... You're right though... Better to be safer.

How many watts should the Immersion Blender be since I want to buy one but see 200W all the way to 1000W and is there any difference else why are there so many different power option.
@JoesPhenomenal2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Ainz. It works a lot like it does with ordinary blenders. Typically, you get smoother results with more power since the blade spins faster and doesnt bog down as much. However, mine is only 300w and I have never had a issue with that and everything comes out buttery smooth... so, IMO power levels don't matter as much with immersion blenders... at least not with anything I've ever made with them. Hope that helps.

Hi, Joe. Sorry to be a nuisance, but I was wondering which brand of immersion blender you would consider "affordable"?? As I said in one of my other comments on your other video, I'm going WFPB, and wanted to try making soups & stews in my slow cooker (I refuse to pay money for an instant pot....partly because I have a small kitchen & don't have alot of cupboard space for too many appliances). I'd mainly want to use it for semi-pureeing my soups/stews to a more creamy texture. Anyway, let me know what you'd recommend. Thanks.

LOL... no problem at all. The one I used in the video isn't made anymore, but here goes the model that replaced it on amazon: amzn.to/3GmCRB7. I think it has a 300w motor on it? comes with some cool goodies, too. Been really happy with the power on mine, and this one is a little bit stronger....
@JoesPhenomenal3 жыл бұрын
This one is a little bit cheaper, and it's pretty comparable to the other one too. amzn.to/3CiTFGR. Just an FYI that the links I sent to you here are from my Amazon affiliate account. If you purchase items through my links, I do get a small commission from Amazon, but it doesn't affect what you pay or anything like that. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that, though!

If you're using raw eggs, you're fine if you use pastuerized eggs. Most of the time they are already, but you can check with your grocer.
@RogerRamjetLips2 жыл бұрын
you make it look easy (the mayonaise), but when i try it it doesn't work, after a few minutes of whipping the mixture is getting warm but still not emulsifying :(
@JoesPhenomenal2 жыл бұрын
That's odd..... are you letting the eggs sit out a bit? If they are too cold, it might not blend properly. Also, what speed is your immersion blender set to? If it's set to high, it might make that happen, too, possibly?

Regarding the recipe for mayonnaise… is it safe to use uncooked egg? I just purchased one am excited to start using it.
@JoesPhenomenal Жыл бұрын
Yes you can! Just be sure you are using pasteurized eggs so you don't run any kind of risk of samonella or something like that. Most eggs (in the USA, anyway) are already pasteurized, so they are ok for the most part, but it's always a good idea to double check.
