In my opinion, I like the thread on the end better than the quick release. The quick release tends to wear out fast and it stops bitting.

I agree that some air is lost when twisting the threaded fitting on and off but there is also air lost when you disconnect the quick connect. I did see somebody else’s video that Amazon does offer a pigtail extension for a quick connect so that’s always an option for people

That 8Ah battery is probably overkill. I saw one bloke inflate 26 tyres on the M18. One battery, one charge. That is bonkers.

They should've built in LEDs in the back to act like a flash light for when your in the dark so you can see where you're walking and where the valve stem is. Missed opportunity imo. But still good.

@@LzysGraphics that’s the new “Fuel” version coming out in Fall of 2022. Milwaukee uses us for R&D on the first Gen and then gives us all we want in the fuel version. So we have to buy both, or we wait and spend whatever the newer one costs because we feel that it’s a good deal because we didn’t have to buy both!

The brass Schrader chuck is more of a safety issue than an inconvenience. I drug my m12 inflator down the street and ran it over because I forgot it was screwed onto the tire. Still works great though lol

I filled my tire on my truck with my M12 at the sand pits and the wife had drove with it and it was covered in sand ,still works great

The quick release ends tend to leak over time, it’s better to have the air tight seal you get with the screw on type. They knew what they were doing.

Quick release would never hold on the high pressures. Threaded fitting is the only way to go. You would get annoyed instantly with quick release

IMO Milwaukee missed the mark on their inflators, particularly the M18. An inflator isn't really a shop tool and if it is it's not one used a lot. Most shops are going to have a good compressor. So this is an 'in-a-pinch' tool or a recreational tool. Inflating things like bikes, tools, boat-tubes, etc. In that regard, it's missing a high-volume low-pressure hose for inflating those boat/creek/lake/river toys. Dewalt nailed this. Regardless of whether the Dewalt is inferior in performance for inflating a tire (I have no idea) -- it has the features. Just sucks to have all Milwaukee tools in the shop and then this random Dewalt inflator (which can also be plugged in) because Milwaukee isn't trying to compete.

Actually... They should've made it an "aio" or make one in the future so it inflates has a light, a power outlet, USB port, and possibly jump starter. I'd say radio too, but that'd be too much/heavy and it'd probably suck as a speaker since for a good one they'd have to charge a lot and not many people would be interested. At that point it's a camp accessory.

That was very impressive! This is the most informative review of the M18 I have seen (okay, maybe it's the only one I cared to see), so much action going on. I did not expect the basketball to hold that much pressure, the Makita ratchet threw up deuces and was out, and the Kobalt right angle impact wrench held on for deal life. But I think the most important takeaway here is... DeWalt can't take a hit from an exploding basketball.
