I’m from Tandragee .. I’ve lived in USA for 20 years now, I’m at work today and met this American guy for the 1st time. He asked were my accent was from …I said norther Ireland. He said I wanna go there to the Isle of Man for the bike racing. He said he loved Joey Dunlop back in the day. Even Americans appreciate Joey Dunlop
@eugeneclarke55722 ай бұрын
@conormccusker3487 howya, from a lily white if you know your football. I have to say Michael Dunlop is another class. He's holding the Dunlop name high and proud 👏. But that gentleman should go Northern Ireland and watch 20 loopers hurling down the road rain or shine instead of 1 every 10 seconds. Northern Ireland is the home of road racing, which will never be taken away from them. Hope life is going well out there for you. You're missing nothing here, especially with the muppets in the dail. Hopefully they will leave something for you to come home to if they haven't sold it off

Closest we've had is McGuiness with his last win! He's still up there and showing he has the pace but sadly the level is stepped up another notch with Short Circuit being the key to winning road racing now. Michael is definitely the next to carry the torch, especially after this years TT. And there's plenty of racing still left to be had!

One of his close friends going back years committed suicide, a short time before Joey went on that trip , I'd say Joey,s head wasn't fully in a calm place at the time. The road was also extremely wet at the time ,he may have had the wrong tyre selection on board. Also he wasn't getting any younger , the body slows down a bit , maybe his reflexes , cognitive speed weren't as fast as what he thought they were. I don't know the exact reason. Could be a number of things.
