I am still laughing at "He might be a baritone"....Nothing is so much fun as watching some one who has a musical back ground watch our Dimash for the first time...His main genre is called neo-classical or popera.....but he sings everything from opera to pop and even raps....his solo concerts are unbelievably amazing...and on his YT channel...he has done OSTs for several movies, tv dramas, and 2 video games...most recent OSTs are for Jackie Chans new movie, and the mega scifi/fantasy "Creators..the Past" the song is called "Across Endless Dimensions" and on his channel.. Dimash plays 7 instruments, composes, arranges, and now directs....He recently completed his Master's degree and is working on his doctorate and over and above all of that, off stage he is the most genuine human being...and that is one of the main reasons so many of us love him so much...he put the word "Gentleman" back in the dictionary......

Thanks for your wonderful reaction. I believe Dimash is the best technically trained singer in the world today. He can’t be labeled as just one type of singer. His voice has so many different tones, and colors, and of course his range is out of this world. He also mixes many different genres together, so the songs become his own. Fadli Yaakob Actually, I was referring to the 5th Element song Diva Dance in which he sang in the alien register. Regardless, when people refer to him as alien, I don’t really think they mean he’s an alien from Mars or another planet, because we all know he is a human being from Earth with an out of this world talent. It’s an expression saying that Dimash’s extraordinary singing ability is rarely seen among humans. Oh, I forgot to mention his whistle tone. Peace.

He sings all genres and describes his style as neoclassical. He has been offered a job in opera, but he is independent because he wants to experiment with his voice and do what he wants. You will surely see his legendary SOS performance at the Chinese competition I am Singer "2017 - something like a portfolio of an unknown participant who has to show his skills. So glad you've discovered Dimash! This was composed for him by the pianist here (Igor Krutoy). Dimash is a 26 year old Kazakh singer who is classically trained and has a 6 octave range. He is most well-known for his cover of the French song "SOS"-- check out his 2018 Slavic Bazaar performance from his official channel. "Love is like a Dream" (also on his channel) is a beautiful ballad sung with a storytelling quality in his lowest register (with vocal fry!). "Olimpico"/"Ogni Pietra" is a rock opera-like piece composed for Dimash by Igor Krutoy which showcases his classical baritone (the best version is on Krutoy's channel). Enjoy the journey! :)

Wow, this is a great song and performance but very few who are new to Dimash start with this song! Most start with "SOS" but just you wait until you see what the guy can REALLY do with his nearly 7 octave voice: "Across Endless Dimensions," "Love Is Like a Dream," "Love of Tired Swans," "Sinful Passion," Olimpico," "Adagio" (2017 on the Singer) and dozens more. The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to write the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add to the universal declaration of human rights another article (they would become 31) whose wording would be as follows " All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing ". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, whom I could talk to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, 1 year ago, I met this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), last March 7, 2020. At the end of the concert on March 7, 2020 in Riga (Latvia), I asked security guards to take a Portuguese flag to Dimash for him to sign. The security guards were very friendly and took the flag. A few minutes later, a member of Dimash's staff appeared and told me that it was not possible for him to sign the flag because he was leaving for the airport. He gave me a postcard signed by him. I was all happy. And I also went to the airport because I had a plane at 6:00 am to return to Portugal. I arrived at the airport at about 10:30 pm. I knew Dimash had to go to the airport, but I figured he was going through a VIP door. As I had many hours of waiting, I decided to lie down on the airport benches. Around 00:00 I woke up to applause. I thought, is it Dimash? I looked at the check-in area and saw a large crowd. I started walking towards the check-in area. About 50 meters away, Dimash looked at me and I opened my arms as if to say "you will have to talk to me". When I arrived at Dimash (he was wearing a mask) I told him that I had traveled 8000 km to see and hear him sing and asked him if he could take a picture with me. Dimash didn't even hesitate for a second and said "Sure". He left check-in (walked about 100 meters because he had to leave the opposite side to what I was in). When he reached me, he took off his mask and smiled. We took the picture. I asked him for a few minutes to say a few words (those were the ones I wrote in the previous comment). While talking, Dimash was always silent and smiling, showing great respect for me. I said goodbye to him and ran to my wife who had not realized that I had separated from her. When I arrived with my wife, she didn't want to believe that I had taken a picture with Dimash. She immediately ran to check-in along with a friend who had accompanied us (we went 3 from Portugal to Riga for the Dimash concert). When they arrived at check-in they started talking to Dimash. Once again he was very generous and polite to them. I didn't meddle in the conversation. I had already had my moment with Dimash and now it was their turn. What I did was go to the bathroom to wash my face because I was still a little under the influence of having suddenly woken up and had a somewhat miraculous experience. When I returned from the bathroom, Dimash's entourage was leaving check-in. Dimash's father was ahead. Out of respect for Dimash's father, I stopped and bowed my head. Dimash, seeing this, left the group and addressed me (walked maybe 10 meters). He took my right hand in both hands and said "Bye sir". It was a mystical experience that I will never forget. SOS at Slavic Bazaar and Sinful Passion at Sochi are an absolute must for Dimash reactors! You ain’t heard nothing yet! He sings in every genre (apart from country, but hey, never say never with Dimash!) His Bastau solo concert is amazing! Try Daybreak and The Diva Dance from that masterful Bastau concert! His range currently is over 7 octaves! I say currently because he just keeps on increasing that range! In a lot of his songs he gets up to an E6 but he has gone as high as a D8 (sung live). That's more of a frequency than a musical note but it does support the idea that the 6th Octvave is pretty comfortable for him. Just to warn you... Dimash doesn't really stop surprising you. Enjoy! A note about his breath control: he swims lengths of a swimming pool underwater as part of his musical training... you know... like you do.

Dimash can sing just about everything, different genres. One of his must is Sinful Passion which is in Russian but has subtitles. He sings in many languages. Also, a great performance is Know from New Wave which he sings with lyrics and then does it again at his Kiev as well as New York concert just vocalizing. It is hauntingly beautiful. One of the most chill songs is his cover of Lionel Richie's Hello, Love Is Like a Dream, very mellow most of the song, then the explosion, but Sinful Passion? He does some things I doubt you have heard before.
