#BeWhole #Taijiquan #Learning
A brief chat with another one of my favourite people in the world, Adam Mizner, Taijiquan extraodinairre and the founder of Heaven Man Earth Taiji International (www.heavenmanearth.com/) as well as the creator of DiscoverTaiji (discovertaiji.com/) and DiscoverMind (discovermind.com/) online training programs.
Thank you Adam for generously making yourself available to have this discussion, where I'm asking you some of the questions I had about training in Taijiquan (and perhaps alos other internal arts).Your insights and observations from the experience of almost two decades of teaching thousands of students all over the world, both in person and online, strike me as being very clear and even perhaps, profound.
Great to be here hanging out with you, for the second time in beautiful Corfu, Greece, enjoying the weather, great hospitality of our Corfiot friends and fantastic company.
This is our second escapade, in Corfu, Greece, this time in June 2023, during which we also worked on some amazing technology.

@To master our thoughts requires a conscious effort to cultivate self-awareness and mindfulness. We must become observers of our own minds, constantly monitoring the thoughts that arise within us. This requires discipline, as it is all too easy to allow our thoughts to wander aimlessly, to be consumed by negativity, or to be swayed by external influences. By disciplining our minds, we gain the ability to choose our thoughts deliberately, to direct our attention towards what truly matters, and to dismiss thoughts that hinder our progress.

I really need to learn from Adam 20 yrs in and it seems I have had to rebuild my body and perspective more times than I can count. I would love to learn from Adam or his senior students. I consider myself pretty advanced but would still happily start over at basics and rebuild under Adam's method. I have about 500/US over bills so unlikely without a drastic change in income unless he comes to my area. I would be just as happy to learn from any senior in HME because as a skilled internal MA practitioner I understand that foundation/basics are a required and treasured part of the end skills.

thanks for sharing. Om shivaya namaha. where in the classics is "Yi-qi-Shen" ? it sound made up. also not sure why he talks about pitfalls of other teachers, isn't it best to mind your own business since many think he is not teaching tai chi martial art. Lastly he calls out parlor tricks, but demos parlor tricks, so there is a lot of hypocritical mouth karma. best to put your money where your mouth is and come down from the clouds and have some self-introspection. Release and let go of ego, not expound it. Om shivaya namaha🙏🙏🙏🔱
