How Do I Get (More) Chi / Qi? According to Sifu Adam Mizner it is "Know Thy Self!"

Qi / Chi - Some people are insecure about it, many people don't know any better and only a very few truly know it. While those who are insecure are consumed by the compulsion to "debunk" Chi / Qi, most people who don't know Qi /Chi might like to find out for themselves, but how?
During the one month intensive training camp held in Phuket, Thailand, sifu Adam Mizner reveals the secret to developing Qi / Chi. It may not be what you expect. It is not some secret "visualization skill" passed down by a spirit during some self proclaimed star seed's psychedelic fueled trip into another realm. It is in reality, a very important survival skill in the modern world, where we are constantly bombarded with "information" by those who want to monetize our attention like never before in human history.
So what is the secret? How do we make use of it? Watch the video and find out!
In this video, Sifu Adam Mizner also talks about how important the correct alignment of the bones are and why. And how the standing practices (or even seated practices that emphasize correct physical alignment) help us work towards better skeletal alignment.
So how does better physical skeletal alignment help with getting (more) Qi /Chi? How do we build the body so that it is a nice place for the consciousness to maintain attention in, without being distracted by the noise outside?
All is revealed!

Thanks for this and deep respect. My experience validated totally. Four years of mostly living like a hermit after total life and body destruction. The need to come back inside every second of every day. Slowly, patiently cleaning everything inside. I have some beginning of Gong and I did exactly what he said. The training with my Sifu helped create the structure but my situation forced me to do what Sifu Mizner so excellently explains and it is working. Reverent thanks to my Sifu PD and his Sifu CKT. Reverent thanks for your service Sifu Adam Mizner. I've seen you interviewed with Sifu Damo Mitchell and now I'm ready to try his training in Bali, hopefully from this September for three months. PS I don't look anything like I do in this photo anymore. A new man. Grounded (more than not) and embodying (or beginning to embody) the results of the practice.

Hi Adam, I really appreciate your thorough explanation in the video description. I think a lot of people think you are very harsh; maybe so, but what I see is a lot of righteous anger at obfuscation, abuse, nonsense, apologists, "haters," and the list goes on. I just came to the channel discover Taiji I have different kinds of experiences and points of view ! The points of how develop the Qi and its agents. It is bioelectric energy and stored in our body through different ways, electric magnetic force which surrounds us and which we can as human beings absorb and use it for our own advances - staying alive . How to accumulate energy , store it and use them for different purposes depends on ourselves. Through mind exercising skills , the contraction and expanding of the diaphragm during breathing and movements with our extremities to open up the body’s energetic channels can help , Then the phrase Use Your Mind to Conduct Energy, use the Energy to Move Your Body Can be applied! There also some other points i like to discuss with Master Mizner . One day maybe we will meet Keep up the work and spread the message

Simple but important. Look inside, neikan. Then grow from inside out. People talk of the engine. A properly developed person has a high-powered engine but may look like an old banger from the outside until you touch them. Others look like a Ferrari but are either powered by a lawnmower battery or rely on techniques or muscles, both fade.

I am confused by what the difference is between the mind (fleeting, impermanent, to be put down) and knowing thy self. I have resolved a few physical issues in myself by using my imagination to figure out what story/belief was causing the physical issue. Once I resolved that the physical issue resolved instantly. I've gotten the "story" about things that have made my facial bones asymmetrical, which they have been asymmetrical since birth. Is this something that I should not look at, or ignore as I have used imagination to get this information?

@The art of Push Hands and the philosophy of monism converge in a harmonious union, offering practitioners a transformative journey towards self-discovery and enlightenment. Through the practice of Push Hands, individuals learn to embody the principles of monism, recognizing the interconnectedness of all things and embracing the oneness of existence. This profound wisdom not only enhances physical and mental well-being but also fosters empathy, compassion, and inner peace. As we delve into the art of Push Hands, let us rememberto approach it with an open mind and a willingness to explore the depths of our own being. By embracing the principles of monism and integrating them into our practice, we can unlock the true potential of Push Hands and experience a profound transformation in our lives.

Invest in loss. There's always more to concern the mind. Its just practice, practice, practice and then you begin to feel it. I'm four years in to the process and he's 100% correct. I'm doing what he says and it very slowly works. Its very hard in terms of dedication but do what he says and you will get it. My Sifu is like him in many ways. 7th Dan from Chee Kim Thong Five Ancestors lineage (for what its worth) but the method is 100% the same - But yes, the Yi/intention/consciousness is what he says and it works how it works. Keep reading and learning and if what he says doesn't make felt sense yet, someone else will give you the right words/cue and you'll begin to feel it. Work hard at doing what he says and exploring the truth of it and you're channels will begin to open. I'm very injured but a body worker so I have had no choice but to clean my body, mind and spirit by giving up movies, TV, alcohol. I still smoke but I'm becoming more conscious of how it affects my posture. Also how I brush my teeth, stand, basically how I move all the time. Every second of every day. Do this and it will come.

@@rickyhindmarsh5985 thank you. Avery week it's a failure and looking at release different way Avery time, it's hard. For now before I felt when I try to release it's from my head giving the command and now I do it physically but trying to understand how I do that whale the structure stays up.

@@user-dg6hh4mg8r You’re welcome. It’s a slow process. Keep practicing releasing, like the feeling when tension leaves the body as a muscle relaxes. Reclaim your body. I recommend a tapping stick to help get your mind into the body. Tap an area for a minute, then stop and you’ll feel the difference. That aliveness is the mind interacting/saturating the body. Practice until things open with your mind. Mind. Breath. Body. To move the qi, but only when you have the structure. That’s the trick - to keep all the plates/processes spinning or like driving a car - you don’t need to think. Peace and I hope this might help.

Many years ago, a teacher explained to us that Chi is translated literally, as the steam that comes off cooked rice. ;-). But, think about that, if you put your hand into steam that is warm without burning you, like gentle steam rising off cooked rice, as opposed to off boiling water, then you get a feeling of warmth, but not of something solid, or that you can grasp. In addition, if you have kids, especially teenage athletes, when you pass them, you can feel the warmth of their body. In Tai Chi, the suggestion is that if you concentrate on *Chi*, then it disappears, but if you relax, concentrate on the form, focus on your breathing, then this relaxation allows the Chi [warmth] to come forth. I don't know that you can do anything with this Chi, but it's clear from Sifu Adam's videos that the more relaxed you are in the practice, the more 'effectiveness' you can generate, especially in comparison to a partner who is not as relaxed and focussed. I think Sifu Adam had a video with a student who was very flexible and relaxed, that Adam could not 'stick' to. ???

I think I saw that video...but my experience is as you say, but the heat comes from song and building the internal pressure by doing what he says. The skeletal structure allows the muscles and huang to become heavy. The compression softens the huang, allowing to to become conductive. The Yi then directs using the Dan Tien as an energy pump. It feels like warm water sometimes, at the stage I am at, but it all works under the pressure created through correct alignment (which takes much awareness).
